It was revealed this week in the Daily Express, that an Extremist Muslim Group were calling on all Muslims to demonstrate their desire to enforce Sharia Law in the UK. I feel that they will be treading on dangerous grounds and being outcast by British society for many years as a result.
It was revealed in the Daily Express 14th October 2009, that an Extremist Muslim Group were calling on all Muslims to converge on many British towns and cities on 30th October 2009. This is to demonstrate their desire to enforce Sharia Law in the UK.
Any Muslims taking this kind of action in demonstrating their hatred of our democratic way of life, are showing no respect to the country and people who have taken them in. They have taken jobs, lived on benefits been able to class themselves as British and accepted our democratic way of life with free speech, schooling, health care and knowledge so that they have the chance to live to an acceptable standard of living.

I fear that there could be a backlash from true British groups who will not take so kindly to the fundamentalist extremes. There will be a danger of riots and a bloodbath if these demonstrations go ahead after the groups showed their hatred to our Prime Minister and our democratic way of life.
I don’t like him much myself or his Government, and believe our laws need changing but not to Sharia laws. There may be some points which may benefit our inadequate system but they should be left to be decided by the British people and although I hate saying this. If these Extreme groups feel so strongly and wish to live to their Sharia Laws they should live where they have them.
That is why I live here in Britain, because I have worked most of my life and paid my taxes for a way of life I enjoy.

I think that this kind of intolerant attitude by small groups of people has a massive impact on our society in UK. We are naturally a very tolerant nation but our good nature is now being taken advantage of.
Anyone living here is entitled to the same rights as us but not to more. This is where the social unrest comes in, because ‘incomers’ are given more rights than us (positive discrimination).
We are a Christian country with democratic laws and anyone living here must accept that, or leave. They can practise their own religions and customs but they must abide by the law of the land.
It’s much the same way here in the States Tim. They come here to live and enjoy the same freedoms we do, but then they start trying to impose their religious beliefs and laws on the rest of us. It just shouldn’t be tolerated.
