With Farah Fawcett’s funeral underway, it’s time she receives the praise she deserves for all of her work as apposed to Michael Jackson.

Today, June 30, 2009, a private funeral is being held for beloved Farah Fawcett in downtown Los Angeles. The ceremony is to be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady, and will be attended by Redmond O’Neal, who is currently in jail for a drug related offense. He is being allowed to attend as approved by a judge.

What about Michael Jackson?

Michael Jackson has received more press over his death, and I am annoyed by addressing it now but felt it needed to be. While Michael Jackson may have contributed more to the entertainment industry by opinion, his actions before his death were less than reputable.

Farah Fawcett

Farah was a beloved actress who starred in many famous rolls, one of which being her part in “Charlie’s Angels”. Having been an outstanding actress and much better individual than Michael Jackson with his continuous negative press over his many acts of indiscretion, I believe that Farah Fawcett’s fatal encounter with cancer being overshadowed by the passing of an individual such as Michael Jackson to be a shame. Right now in California, local news companies have more coverage over the events following his death than of even the current economic crisis.

Enough is enough

Michael Jackson was an icon for his music, let it end at that, enough covering the constant updates about his lack of will, his custody case over his mentally abused children, focus on the things that matter and the people that did actual good not just in their career, but in their life as well.
