The Fox News political pundit Glenn Beck has no real experience in political science but plenty as an entertainer and overall clown. His blatant biased and racist rants as the brown-nosed front man for Rupert Murdock’s television broadcast for ultra-conservative news is an abuse of the Forth Estate.
When he worked for CNN he had video taped his show from his couch in his home after painfully recovering from stint in the hospital. His views on the state of our health care system at that time were not kind and he called for reform. If you think perhaps that episode was merely the drugged out musing of a disgruntled patient think again as Beck continued to rally the cry for health care reform in this country on his next in studio show. Giving the entire show to the issue, Glenn Beck railed against America’s health care system dishing out several vicious verbal blows and decrying how pathetic our nation’s doctors and insurance companies attitude and practices are toward the “average Joe”.
Then Glenn Beck abruptly left CNN and gleefully jumped into bed with Mr. Murdock and the cast and crew of a news network whose slogan of providing a broadcast that is “Fair and Balanced” is the antithesis of that statement. Lies, slander and manipulation of the facts are the norm for Fox and Glenn Beck is their errant cheerleader. Utilizing his polished skills as radio talk show host, Beck will shift gears from somber, concerned neighbor to rallying patriotic zealot to paranoid fear mongering doom say-er. One moment he’s a wild-eyed clown condescendingly eschewing current White House policies of which he has neither a real understanding of nor has he any true desire to comprehend and the next he’s a tearful almost blathering mess, lovesick for a country ideal that never existed except in the eyes of the prejudiced and the hearts of a cold hearted corporate megalomaniac – i.e. Rupert Murdock.
His is a voice of his puppet master from Down Under who is hell bent on creating an America where the divide between the rich and the poor is wider than that of most third world countries and deeper than the black hole of the economy our previous Republican administration left us with. The generations Americans that grew up with broadcast news networks in the vain of Murrow, Cronkite, Huntley and Brinkley, have become awash with pundits like Beck who pose as newsmen but are anything but or about the news.
Where as Cronkite used to report the news as facts in evidence, Fox News has personalities like Glenn Beck, Hannity and O’Reilly that purport to present the events of the day as actually news when in fact it is merely the regurgitated opinion of their Australian overlord. The crime is in the showcasing of these ridiculous excuses for journalists as “real” news hounds and not the prostituted embodiment of a figurehead with the liver-spotted fist of their media kingpin shoved up their proverbial rectums.
American Patriotism is a phrase to be used when describing a person that believes and lives by the creed of the Constitution and the sacraments of the Bill of Rights. These documents show how much in direct contrast Glenn Beck and his cohorts at Fox News are with the real Americans in this country that value a land of Democratic rule. Where all peoples are created equal and are treated as such not just by the law but by the agents of the Forth Estate that was established to watch dog over corruption and illegal act ivies by those elected into power. It’s a sad day when the a news network positions themselves as an instigator of news rather than a reporter of it.

I think Bill O is fairly fair about reporting. He injects his opinion, but always makes it clear it is an opinion and keeps it mild. Beck, on the other hand, has went off his rocker. Occasionally he comes up with something I can subscribe to, like the 9-12 project premise. But, all the racist talk , really turns me off. His “white nation” comment was my last straw. I am not Dem or Rep, but calling Obama a racist is just over the line.
I disagree. I believe Glen Beck to be a dedicated, caring American. His polls tell the story. Without his broadcast we may still be encumbered with a self acclaimed Communist in the White House.
Jo Oliver, read Obama’s books and then tell the world he is not a racist, he admits his dislikes against white people. His wife is the same. The ugly head of racism will never be conquered as long as the leader of our country openly admits his dark feelings.
Awand – My g-d what an ignorant moron you are. Perhaps you should look in the mirror and see the racist idiotic person you are. It’s no wonder Beck as a following when his audience is populated with those that base their opinion on fear and the backward dogma of religious separatism.
To Jo Oliver and Awand:
Jo, Bill O’reilly has the sophistication and emotional maturity of a third grade bully. The difference is that a bully just punches the inferior, whereas O’reilly lacks a solid foundation in reason and logic and therefore resorts to insults, of which the vehicle is an onslaught of “shut ups” and “_____ is an idiot” If you need evidence of this just google Bill O’reilly– In particular, the clip of an interview with Phil Donahue. He is your prototypical hypocrite “conservative” that preaches values and then demeans his female co-workers.
Enough of Bill, he really isn’t worth the time. Awand, I read the President’s book, and was at Penn State when he delivered one of his campaign addresses. No where in his book or that speech, or any other speech for that matter did he express any contempt for “white” people. What you have nowadays are media conglomerates delivering ratings rather than news. The problems with that are obvious, but let us look at the fundamental reason for such purported racism. The folks who have the wealth and power are predominately caucasian, and the fact that non-caucasian civilians are becoming more educated threaten their very existence. Why? I can’t tell you. However, I am diagnosed as caucasian and have yet to see evidence that the majority of the Fox “News” information is reliable. CNN is just as biased, but their presentation is not nearly as condescending as Fox “News.”
Neither are true news station, not even in the least bit. Did you notice that CNN covered the death of Michael Jackson ALL DAY?! My point is proven. To wrap this up; I am neither conservative nor liberal, more like a Polar Moderate. I have views from each side but none in the middle. I am not racist, but everyone has tendencies of discrimination. I have found that those who watch Fox news for their sole source of information are some of the most fearful, undisciplined, self-proclaimed Christians. There are exceptions, but not many. And to leave you all I have but ask you only one question: How can you trust a Mormon? That very fact illustrates an inability to make intelligent, well formed decisions.
This article is just so slanderous. It slanders Glenn Beck who is among those who exposes Obama’s radical agenda. It was at least largely thanks to him that Obama wasn’t able to hire the radical Black Supremacist Communist Van Jones, who claimed that white environmentalists and white polluters conspired to pollute the neighborhoods of colored people. And then in the comments section, the author calls a commentor with a different view on Glenn beck a moron and a racist, the latter of which is part of the slanderous accusations the author makes against Glenn Beck. Neither Glenn Beck nor Awand are racist. But now I guess I’m setting myself up to be called a racist. By the way, Glenn Beck, Sena Hannity and Bill O’reilly really do express their own views. Glenn Beck made it clear that he’s not a journalist. He’s just giving his opinion and exposes Obama’s radical agenda. Leftists can’t take it and go on with the slander, accusing people like Beck [who criticizes the Republicans, as well as the Democrats] of being idiots or of spreading lies to make money [never mind the fact that liberal commentators don't make any less money]. This article misrepresents Beck’s positions. Apparently, the author is part of the smear machine, where any criticism of Obama [unless the claim that he's not liberal enough] makes you a racist.
