How Low Can They Get?

Today I learned of a new technique used by the opponents of the President’s healthcare program – fraudulent emails.

It seems that they are so afraid of a sensible healthcare system that they are willing to resort to any means, legal or not, to attack it. By doing so they further erode the public trust in them and in the democratic process in general. These methods which were used in Germany in the 1930s and resulted in the rise to power of the Nazi regime are disastrous as history taught us and must be rejected by any decent citizen right on. The same is true for the other methods used by the opponents of the President’s plan such as disrupting town hall meetings and preventing the supporters of that plan from presenting their case to the public. They are all Fascistic methods which have been tried and unfortunately succeeded in the past. If we want to avoid repetition of the disasters of that horrible past we have to fight them vigorously.

 The issue of reforming the healthcare system was debated extensively and voted on during the last presidential elections, and any attempt to change the outcome now is a crime against democracy which should be punished harshly.
