What I, a simple child, believes should be done in Iraq.
I believe that what we are doing in Iraq is truly amazing, I believe that what Al Qaeda can, and will, do to our amazing country is catastrophic, the dictionary definition for catastrophic is a sudden and terrible event.
That is why we must fight this war over there, so we don’t have to fight it over here. You see in the paper all the time about how we our being so mean and brutal to the children, well I have personally seen pictures of how they love us over there. The children have signs saying how much they love Bush and what he is doing. They love what we all our doing over there.

I like this article. Do you know why? Because I am stationed at FOB (Forward Operating Base) Hammer in Iraq. Do you see that patch on that soldiers helmet? That is the 3rd Infantry Division patch. That is what I wear.
We do a lot over here that most Americans know nothing about. Keep writing and do some research. I promise we don’t mind being here. We have plenty of fight left in us.

How we treat the children over there does nothing, because if we don’t end this war soon, a draft will be put in in the next few years. Also, George W has really screwed this one up. He went into a split country: two different branches of Islam are in that country. The Sunnis and the Shiites. 1/3 of the population is Sunni, while everyone else is a Shiite. When Sadam Hussein, a Sunni, was overthrown, the Sunnis (the minority) were left to the Shiites, who have begun to opress them.
Our president could not have picked a worse country to go in, and it is not our job to fix that sort of thing. Democracy is great, but in a country that has never and never will have peace or democracy, it was a mistake spreading it. America needs to stop acting as the world’s police! Why do you think 9/11 happened?
Your article is not bad, but helping the children there is not going to finish this war.
It is a very nice article. It is well written and thought out, yet lacks something. That something is credibility. As a former Marine I know our troops are doing everything they can to help and protect the Iraqi people, but without a centralized government to stand up and assume control, John McCains 100 year war will become a reality. We cannot afford to spend 1 billion dollars a month, fighting a war that shouldn’t have taken place at all.
G.W. Bush led us into a war for the soul purpose of securing an american foothold in the Middle East. He wants the oil. Presently as I type this comment GWB is now trying to parley a deal with the faulty Iraqi government to broker a deal which will increase the american presence in Iraqi for generations to come. Hopefully our Congress will grew a backbone and just say “NO”
Silence do ok, if you are a child, and I assume you are, you don’t want to have to fight in Iraq. War is not a pretty thing and little good ever comes from a war based on lies and deceit.
