Joe the Plumber and His Pal John McCain

Joe the “plumber” was more popular in the last debate than any other topic that was discussed. Good old John McCain and his pal Joe the “plumber” help unveil what the GOP (Republicans) plan to do with the economy. John McCain and his GOP buddies want to stay with a “trickle down economy” one that gives massive tax breaks to the rich and wealthy corporations of America.

Trickle down Economy is a belief that if you give rich people and large corporations massive tax breaks the businesses and corporations in turn will put the money back into people with better benefits, higher pay rates, and more jobs. This is an idea that was hatched into development when Ronald Reagon was in office and like many other ideas seems very logical until you better understand it from an inside view.

What really happens in a trickle down economy is that businesses and corporations often do two things with their money. First, and most often, they say they are investing it back into the company; a fancy way of saying they are keeping it in their own pockets. The other thing that happens is CEO’s and upper level employees get much bigger bonuses because their companies have made more of a profit with the massive tax breaks they receive. Many economic experts have stated that a trickle down economy is a failure and we have seen this with George W. Bush over the last eight years.

So what happened in the debate was that our friend John McCain unveiled his plan to help Joe the plumber with tax cuts on the wealthy and the GOPs famous “trickle down” economics. So with John McCain pledging support for the wealth and rich business owners we as everyday normal Americans will continue to struggle in our day to day lives. When John McCain speaks of change; maybe the change he is referring to is the never ending supply of money in his pocket. If we as Americans want true change we must get away from John McCain and his friends like Joe the plumber and their ever famous “trickle down economy”.
