John McCain for President

John McCain was born August 29, 1936. He went into the U.S Naval Academy in 1956. He then graduated from the U.S Naval Academy in 1958. He then started to be a Naval aviator, so he flew planes. He went into the Vietnam War in 1967. He was shot down by the North Vietnamese and almost lost his life. John was take POW until 1973. He was abused and tortured every day in the prisoner camp. He suffered 7 years of beatings.

John McCain then retired as a captin from the Navy in 1981. He then entered politics. He was elected into the U.S House of Representatives in 1982, he served two terms.  Then he was elected to the U.S senate in 1986, he stayed in the senate until 2006. He led the McCain-Feingold Act in 2002. He helped out Vietnam recover even though he was tortured there.

Now John McCain is running for president and he chose Sarah Palin for his VP. John McCain is good at what he does, he has alot of experience with war and with politics. John McCain is running as Republican. His opposing party, the Democratic side, has Barack Obama. Obama is not even as close to experienced as John McCain. McCain will definitely do a better job at President. John McCain is supporting relief for families, cheaper and cleaner gas, smaller businesses, smaller barriers on trade, better healthcare, and fairer taxes.
