Just a few reasons why our country should legalize and make a profit off of marijuana.
Today in our country over 90 million people have admitted to smoking weed in their lives. It helps people with debilitating diseases get through the day. No one has ever overdosed on this drug. Unlike many other drugs legal or not. If our country legalize weed instead of using 700 billion of the Americans dollars to eradicate it we probably could pull ourselves out of this recession. We allow people to go to the bar and drink or walk into a store or restaurant and buy whatever kind of alcohol they want. But how many people die on a daily basis due to alcohol related circumstances. Like 85,000 die a year due to alcohol and there are ZERO deaths due to marijuana. So why is it illegal is my question. Why cant we capitalize on this very harmless plant. Our country could easily make 7 or 8 billion dollars a year off the sale and taxation of bud. Yet we decide to spend countless dollars and fighting the use and sale of weed. We jail approximately 800,000 people a year due to marijuana so lets stop fighting a war we are losing. And embrace one we can win. Legalize it!!!

I totally agree with you. I have never smoked. Never smoked pot. But I see how all this crazy stuff surrounding the issue of pot ruining lives more than the sale or use of it. We have leaders that are so focused on their own concerns, (like war) and who had sex with who etc. that they don’t have an ounce of COMMON SENSE. I’d rather see my neighbor high on pot and laughing like a fool, than have him DRUNK and beating on his wife and kids. We have Educated IDIOTS running the country.They don’t care what THE PEOPLE want. They DO what THEY want.
