The legendary popstar, Michael Jackson, has passed away at age 50 in Los Angeles, while surrounded by family and friends.
Throughout his successful career, Michael Jackson’s album Thriller was, and remains, the best selling album of all time.
His most popular included “Beat It”, “Billie Jean”, and “Thriller”.
Michael Jackson has also undergone a series of plastic surgery operations on his face (most noticeably his nose) and a change of skin color from a tannish brown to white.
Here is a video showing the changes from his childhood to adult:
My Thoughts and Opinions
The death of Michael Jackson was less caused by his physical health problems, but more of the stress brought by media attention, criticizing Michael Jackson’s appearance and lawsuits filed against him.
However, being a staunch supporter of Jackson, I feel as though Jackson could not do anything about his life, and it was already written by everyone else when he was born.
Having the skin disorder “vitiligo”, Jackson was accused many times of bleaching his skin white. Although not any research has been studied for the cause of his skin color. I’m pretty sure I, and a lot of other people, trust that Jackson WAS telling the truth about his skin disorder.
There were many cases where Jackson had to go to court because he was accused of molesting children. But NONE of these cases had any evidence (and most people probably just wanted money), and Jackson was acquitted in all of them. Whether if it’s true or not, we can’t blame Michael for being who he is.
According to his speech in 1993, his father had always physically and emotionally abused him when he was a little kid. If you were in this situation, would everyone expect you to grow up normally like every other kid?
I can’t believe how so many people are against Jackson when they don’t even know half of what he had to go through in his life. Whether it’s the media or his family, he has always been looked down upon.
Now that he’s dead, I know many people are like “HOOORAY! YAY! NO MORE JACKSON!!”.
But even if you still hate Jackson because you THINK he committed all those allegations or “changing” his skin color, then you are definitely not looking at him the way that you should be.
Hate him or love him, he was, is, and always will be — the King of Pop.
