Discusses whether or not custody should be granted to Michael Jackson’s mother.

I don’t know about you, but I was really taken aback when I heard about this. The woman has been well known to subject her children to her abusive husband. A situation that occured throughout the Jackson’s lives. Katherine (his mother) is just one year shy of 80. Two of Michael’s children are eleven and the other is twelve. Do you really think that an eighty year old woman can take care of three  children who are hitting puberty and if so for how long? If this was a case with “normal” people, there would be no way of granting this woman custody. His mother also filed for entitlement to his estate-no surprise.I sympathize for this woman because she has just lost a child, however as I’ve written about it before, the thing that seems to be on people’s minds is who gets what. And this is a woman who wants it all. Should the estate be hers-sure,why not. Should she have custody of his children-that one I do not agree with. It should be whats in the best interest of the children and an elderly battered woman does not seem to be the best fit. Not to jinx anything but how much longer do you suppose Katherine has-should these children be subjected to living with someone else who they will see die.

Deborah Rowe is the children’s mother who has mysteriously disappeared since Jackson’s death. Rowe has not had contact with her children.Michael, as we all know has eight other siblings. Including the successful Janet Jackson, Latoya Jackson, Rebbie Jackson, and five brothers. Rebbie has been married to the same man for forty one years now and has three children-seems like a good candidate. I am not doubting that Katherine loves her children or grandchildren. I am just saying that one of Michael’s siblings may be better suited to care for his children. The only other Jackson member I would exclude from the list is Randy Jackson who was charged of beating his wife and fourteen month old daughter. Most of the Jackson men have children and families. The only two members who have never had children is Janet and Latoya.

I feel that these children have been through a lot, they have just dealt with the death of their only parent, along with having to hear of all of the things their father has been accused of. I think that these children should be the main focus, not any other member of the family right now. You cannot feel sorry for someone and so automatically grant them custody. One person has said that Jackson has a will but due it’s date, may be of no use.
