While the American President was busy with his schedule of press conference and address to the Indian Parliament the first lady took time out to do what women love to do; shopping. India is known for its culture and handicrafts and this is what interested the first lady. In fact is a paradise for art and handicrafts lovers. She used this opportunity to visit the National Handicrafts and Handloom Museum where she did her shopping and nearly exhausted her shopping budget.

Well the shopping list included Pashmina shawl, Manipuri necklace, several Ganesh idols, Shantiniketan-style mini wallets, silk mobile phone covers, Madhubani postcards, wooden toys that included a toy train, traditional dolls, bags, key chains, and Kantha and Rajasthani bed covers,

She was so engrossed in the shopping that she lost track of the time and overstayed at the venue and eventually had to be told that her lunch plans were getting delayed. Well what can you say; shopping in India for women is like putting a kid in a candy store and so what if you are the first lady.
