My Opinion on Universal Healthcare in America

I once was an Obama supporter, I still think I am. But when Obama said he was going to fix our healthcare system during his run for elections, I had no idea that his idea of “fix” was a completely socialistic, leftist, near comunist style type of definition. I was baffeled at the thought of the government spending my and the rest of america’s tax payer dollars on “unfair” system that would allow any complete idiot, wrong or not, to get free healthcare.

Did you ever wonder what type of people might be at the hospitals? Do we really want to fund some moron drug addicts medical fees? Me personally would not want to pay for some teenage kid’s broken leg because he/she got into a fight with the “wrong” people. People like that deserve to learn from their losses.

Now the second and final point of my rant if you will, is why doesn’t the goverment see that if they start this Universal healthcare program, that more students would not be motivated enough to become doctors. Doctors today have probably spent over a decade of their lives as an intern in hospitals, always on call, and to top it off they were also eveluated on everything they do. I would definetely hate if my every single move in the operation room was monitored and judeged by one of my “superiors”, yet some people put up with it because they want to do good for our society. Not everyone is willing to give up a sizeable chunk of their lives to the ill and injured.

Now after Obama’s great healthcare plan doctor’s salaries are only going to plummet further. This means more students less motivated to dedicate their lives to medicine. Unfortunately cash is a big a stimulant for intelligent students looking to do good in school. I personally believe that doctor’s salaries, as it-is, is pretty borderline to too less.

As if the doctor situation and the tax wasn’t bad enough, the media also tells us that the estimated price tag on this is over a trilllion dollars! That’s a lot of $$$! And we are still supposedly in a recession.

I am just hurt by this as any other fellow patriots. My Republican friends, speak out now for we may not have a chance tommorow! We have to fight to keep our great nation free and prosperous! Our healthcare needs a tune-up, I admit, but not an overhaul for the worst! I will conclude with -Obama you are doing more harm than good with this crazy new idea of yours! Until the day you decide to give up this madness and come back to your senses, I will be red, like every other beloved patriots that want to see this country become a better place full of freedom, where one can reep the rewards of one’s hardship. Until then I am red!
