If I were to run for a congressional seat in Washington DC I would run on the following platform.
I would try to accomplish the following things upon election to congress:
- I would reform immigration laws. I would attempt to stiffen laws to prevent illegal immigration, while stream lining the process for immigrants to become citizens. I would also found out why the southern border doesn’t have its wall.
- I would vote to repeal the Federal Reserve Act in order to let our free market determine interest rates, exchange rates.
- I would vote to repeal the income tax and replace it with a flat tax. I would also get rid of the Internal Revenue Service.
- I would vote or introduce and amendment to the United States Constitution which would limits term limits of all publicly elected government officials to one six year term of office.
- I would vote to repeal the TARP act and return that money to creditors or to taxpayers. I would also vote for any measure to repeal the second stimulus package and return that money also.
- I will vote for a balanced budget or any budget that would return a surplus and use that extra money to pay off national debt.
- I will vote for or support any legislation that prohibits the executive branch of government from “legislating” by decree, meaning that it will limit or abolish the president’s ability to issue executive orders.
- I would vote for an amendment to the constitution that prohibits the president and the government as a whole in interfering with the internal affairs of any corporation or private company.
- I would vote to repeal the GIVE act in order to free up more money to pay off national debt. Americans have proven one more then one occasion that they are the most charitable, most volunteering people in the world.
- I will support and vote for any legislation that returns the size of government to its constitutional boundaries.
- I will work with doctors from around the country to devise a plan for health care reform that keeps decisions in the hands patients and their doctors.
- I will support any legislation that strengthens the Bill of Rights.
If I were running for a congressional seat from the state of Texas, this would be my campaign. I would appreciate any comments concerning the platform including additions or subtractions, as well as any positive or negative comments.
Now is the time to find people who believe what you do. Encourage those people to run for congress in 2010. Run for congress yourself. The only way to be heard is to use your voice. Go to town hall meetings, write, visit and email your congressmen and congresswomen.
