Denver International Airport is a building surrounded by mystery and intrigue.
Denver International Airport (DIA) has been the subject of numerous conspiracy theories since it’s opening in 1995.
Many investigators have directly questioned airport officials in an attempt to dispel the myriad of rumours – officials however have been reported to be evasive and secretive which has fuelled the conspiratorial fires.
In this article, a number of the DIA’s “oddities” along with conspiracy theories surrounding them have been outlined.
The Construction of DIA
Many have questioned the unorthodox approach to the construction of the airport.
Usually, a main contractor will run a construction project from start to finish, with sub-contractors being hired in to complete specialised packages of work (steelwork, electrics, plumbing). On DIA however, main contractors and sub contractors were hired to carry out small packages of works only, then dismissed from the site.
Many have speculated that this was a tactic to ensure that no construction worker saw the full scale of the construction.
Five large buildings were fully constructed and subsequently deemed to have been positioned incorrectly – unusually, they were buried and the current airport constructed on top of the “incorrect” structures.
The cost of the project over-ran significantly, from $1.5 billion to $5.3 billion.
The layout of the airport from an aerial view, appears to have been designed in a shape resembling a swastika – synonymous with the Nazi party – it should be noted however that the swastika symbol may not necessarily be sinister, the symbol is over three thousand years old and has been used by many cultures to represent life, the sun, power, strength and good luck.
The swastika shape may have also been a fluke, based upon an optimum airport / runway design.
Underground base
Phil Schneider was an ex-governmental geologist who turned whistleblower on many covert operations. During a series of high profile lectures, he revealed that in the last year of DIA construction, the underground levels of the airport were connected to a vast eight level deep underground base.
Phil Schneider also made comment in regard to an unusual and high level of electro-magnetic energy which he personally experienced within the underground tunnels.
These revelations led to much speculation about the usage of the underground facility – I have come across a number of speculations, including, the base will be an “ark” – used in the event of a cataclysmic planetary event, others believe that it is a secret military base, a test ground for secret experimental technology or weaponry. There is even speculation that the base could be used as a concentration camp.
Denver Property
Many of the properties within close vicinity to DIA are “hot property” – reputedly, even the Queen of England has purchased property close to the airport under an alias. I cannot however confirm or deny these claims, but the rumours add weight to the theories that the airport (or what is below it) has far more significance in terms of future events than is commonly known.
Mysterious Cracked Plane Windshields
In February 2007, aviation authorities were investigating why at least fourteen plane windshields cracked.
On Friday 16/02/07 – during 50 mph winds, eight planes that were taking off or landing at the airport experienced severely cracked windshields.
On the same day, three air-borne aircraft and three stationary aircraft experienced the same phenomenon.
The National Transportation Safety Board who investigated the incident ruled out impact from flying debris.
Air safety Investigators however, stated that the cracking was due to fine particles of foreign debris causing deep pitting which lead to cracking.
In March 07, one further airborne craft experienced cracking to the windshield after taking off from DIA.
The affected planes were of various makes and models, fortunately, all airborne planes managed to land safely.
Many have speculated that the cracking would more likely have been caused by the use of very high or very low frequency emissions emanating from the DIA vicinity.
Unexplained Accident
In December 2008, a plane skidded off the runway (veering 2000 feet off course) during takeoff, the plane then inexplicably burst into flames. Forty passengers were injured in the accident.
Reporters noted “A crack encircled much of the fuselage near the trailing edge of the wings”
A full investigation is currently underway into the cause of the accident, a statement will then be released regarding probable cause.
Mystery Surrounding DIA Art and Sculpture
Capstone
In the great hall within DIA, is a mounted capstone (containing a time capsule)- in the centre is a Masonic square and compass symbol and the wording beneath reads “New World Airport Commission”, investigation into this organisation indicates that it is peculiar to DIA alone – formed by private funders and local businessmen around the airport. It caught public attention because of the similarity to the “New World Order”
Unusual Floor Markings
Many have written about the unusual floor markings within DIA.
A native American studies student from UCLA translated the phrase “DZIT DIT GAII” which is carved into the floor in the DIA, as Navajo Indian “The Mountain that is White” – There are other floor inscriptions which just state “Mt Blanca” upon the floors at DIA.
Mt Blanca (Colorado) was one of four sacred sites to the Navajo Indian culture – “The Holy People transformed this sacred mountain, attired it with precious gems of white beads and pure white and black feathers. The white symbolizes purity and gentleness. It also symbolizes the reproduction of the Navajo people “
White Mountain could also refer to Mt Blanc (in France) which was the location where the Knights Templar signed their charter (the Knights Templar are a Masonic chapter -another potential Masonic link).
In relation to the signing of the charter, a Templar from Salzberg wrote:
“They gathered to form a New Order to keep alive the words which God had granted Solomon, in a dream” – Another potential link to the New World Order.
The Mustang Sculpture
Luis Jimenez, an American sculptor was working on the sculpture of a rearing Mustang (Mesteno) intended for Denver International Airport , he was killed on 13/06/06, in his studio when the eight foot high piece, fell on him severing an artery in his leg.
The scary blue rearing horse with glowing eyes has caused controversy due to its sinister appearance – hardly an inviting and reassuring welcome to the airport. Many have dubbed the sculpture “Blue Devils Horse”, “Satans Steed” or “Bluecifer”
The rearing mustang sculpture has been likened to a horse associated with the secret Government Montauk Project, which followed the more well known Philadelphia experiment. The Montauk Air Force on Long Island New York is purported to be the site of an amazing experiment in mind control, spontaneous object creation, time and space travel.

The sculpture is reputed to represent a statue, described in detail, by experimental time travellers during trips to a ruined city in the year 6042 AD. The Montauk Experiment is extremely interesting, but has no official verification – (which proves nothing either way)- so is open to individual research and interpretation.
Garagoyle
In the DIA’s great hall, unusually for an airport, are two seated gargoyles -normally associated with churches or temples – a feature of plumbing to drain away excess rainfall (originally also believed to ward away evil spirits). The gargoyle adds to the surreal, weird and sinister vibe felt by many commuters.

Murals
DIA has drawn much media attention due to a number of bizarre murals which adorn the walls around the terminal.

The images are of course a matter of subjective explanation, however, even at a quick glance, they present a visibly disturbing social commentary.
One set of three murals, entitled “Children of the World Dream of Peace” contains the following images :
The first mural depicts a scene of genocide, death, harsh social control – there is an image of a Nazi styled gun wielding, gas masked alien figure, spearing the dove of peace on the end of a machete – surrounded by women carrying dead babies.
In one corner of the Mural – is an copy of a poem, known to have been written by a child who died in a German concentration camp
In the second mural, weapons are being handed , by children, to a German boy who is shaping them into (what has been interpreted to be) agricultural tools.
The third mural depicts a time of peace, where bizarrely (only) children are gathered around a “new messiah” offering (what has been interpreted to be) a plant with “magic” mind bending qualities.
Conspiracy theorists have speculated that the murals depict a genuine desired agenda by either the New World Order plan or the Fourth Reich – The truth of these theories remains a matter of debate, however, it has to be said that it is clearly not what you would expect to see in an airport!
In conclusion, each of the “oddities” identified within the DIA are open to individual interpretation – but, there are an awful lot of them! – What do you think?

I used to fly in & out of Stapleton International Airport a few times per year, this is the airport that DIA retired. “SIA” was completely surrounded by population centers and could not expand, I think that the Rocky Mountain Flats facility (that stores spent atomics/nuclear materials) was also an issue, so a newer larger airport was needed.
All I know about “DIA” was that automated baggage handling system that runs luggage thru at about 30-MPH on conveyors… The first time they tried is test-trials, it quite effectively shredded most of the bags and luggage… those mechanical arms or whatever, were slappin’ bags every which way..
I wonder what became of Stapleton property. -Was it made available to developers (and, if it was so close to RMFlats, -was that a bad thing?) Never heard of the ’secret base’ thing, but curiously, Lackland (??) Air force Base in Aurora (a bit south of Denver but still in the metropolitan area) was in the process of shutting-down just a year or two before construction of DIA was to commence…

The Rocky Mountain Arsenal used to have a section that was a POW camp during WW II (for POWs on American soil) and a portion of that territory was deeded to what would become part of the Stapleton Airfield (later, Stapleton International Airport).
Read about that RMArsenal, -forgot about this part but they dug some friggin’ hole over two MILES deep to hold decommissioned chemical weapon componants, pesticides, etc. They STOPPED doing this because pumpin’ in water & such, they were causing …minor EARTHQUAKES in the area!! The hole has been capped & sealed… sheez…

Obama to sign $819 billion USA stimulus Bill in Denver 17/02/09 –
Hardly anyone has seen or debated the finished Bill – however, from what I can gather there is much that does not constitute economic stimulus within it – collation of large databases (health and education) to be set up Orwellian style – over $4 billion for new police forces etc in line with the New World Order or Globilisation as it is now called.
I find the signing of the Bill in Denver (which many cite as the new capital of the New World Order) quite a coincidence

I have heard a lot about this on Coast to Coast A.M. (I’m an avid listener). Turns out, regarding the swastika business- Hitler has greatly misconstrued the meaning of the symbol as it IS an ancient symbol of greater benevolent meaning. What that meaning is I can’t remember- but bravo to you for tackling such a rare topic. It’s refreshing to see some lit on ’secrets’. In the age of attempted transparency, we can now be brave and know that just because something’s a conspiracy, doesn’t mean it’s not true. Personally I believe the Denver airport has something to do with aliens. ( : wink wink, nudge nudge!

and campers, this is only the edge of the iceberg on this subject. from sattelite photos somebody has noted that there’s a configuration of buildings that extend for MILES in directions away from DIA. There are additional buildings existing along straight lines which may indicate fresh air exhaust/intakes for massive long distance tunnels which exit in other states. do the research, follow the info, there’s more here than meets the eye or is intended to be known by the baaaaaing masses.

good more people seem to know about this! i saw an interesting page a year or so ago which went into greater detail, especially about the tunnels and electromagnetic properties. aparently people took pictures down there and there were strange anomalies in all the pictures (imagine ghosts or something like that in the picture) and that tunnels were fenced off with barbed wire and spike things on top. best part? the spikes faced inward, as if to keep people in. this is just what i read but even if half of it’s true theres gotta be something going on there

I work at DIA and I had no idea about this! The murals are really creepy too. I walk by them every day to my store. I can’t beleive money was wasted on them! I think painted scenes of what Colorado is about (moutains, outdoor activities, Colorado’s state flower), would have been a more friendly touch. There is that baggage system that costed millions of dollars that never worked. I wonder if it was supposed to work?! When I started here the only rumor I heard was that DIA was built on an Indian burial ground and that the people who work the graveyard shift can hear Indian chants and music. Cool!
Buckley Air Force Base is in Aurora and is fully operational. Lowry, which used to be a base, is now a Denver neighborhood. Stapleton, where the old airport used to be, is a Denver neighborhood as well. The still go by those names.
Seriously there’s not anything weird about DIA… and calling a conspiracy theory article with multiple grammar mistakes “educational” is quite a stretch…

For all of you doubters, why don’t you do some investigating of your own, and then report back? If all of these oddities are false, great! But it is shallow and assuming to declare that nothing extraordinary is going on at DIA, Quite frankly, there is much more evidence to prove otherwise. The question is, what, if anything, can we, the average citizen do about it? If our government is planning on housing selected individuals underground in the face of a disaster, either man-made or natural, there is probably nothing we can do about it. Few of us can afford to build such a structure. Those who can, are, and have been for many years, now. There are architects in this country who are working non-stop on underground facilities for the ultra-rich. I believe that the government knows that if they shared certain classified information with the general public, we would all panic. We would start hoarding food and water, and chaos would break out, because, obviously, many of us would realize that come catastrophe time….we’re up the creek! I have not one doubt that underground this United States lie vast, sophisticated facilities, ready to house the “elite” indefinitely, while the rest of us burn. I pray to God I am wrong!
I am a professor of rhetorical studies. This semester I have my students doing a rhetorical criticism of conspiracy theory websites. They seem to be enjoying it (compared to presidential speeches). One thing about these claims, they are as hard to disprove as they are to prove. And talk to retired military who had certain “clearances”. Dis-information, or are they getting something off their conscience?
What about the 30 foot ceiling chamber made of concrete walls under the ground in the “airport” with a sprinkler system that is supposedly not needed for anything or not in use? and in front of one of the murals on the ground is written “AuAg” some people think is for the chemical symbol of gold and silver. but a virus called Australian Antigen is in liquid form. why do you need a concrete chamber with a sprinkler system?

On the other side, has anyone noticed that almost all of Jay-Z and Beyonce’s recent videos depict a police state? Jay-Z is in with the new illuminati and includes an oppressive police state in his videos to get the public accustomed to seeing police everywhere. I would strongly recommend that no further comments are posted by anyone with actual knowledge. I happen to know a bit about this via an intelligence contact in the US, but when I posted the information yesterday it only appeared for a couple of minutes before being removed.
I thought nothing about it, but I today received a phone call from someone with an American accent warning me in no uncertain terms not to make any further refernce to the matter. He wouldn’t identify himself, and I suppose it could have been a nutter, but how on earth did he trace me?
Suffice to say I was sufficiently frightened to take his advice and back off. I suggest that anyone else who has genuine information about DIA does the same.

What a load of tripe ! I am an Engklish ex-pat living in Denver. There are two things in this article that I know a little about, and both are simply errors of fact. The horse sculpture is simply a reference to the local football team, the Broncos, whose colours are blue and orange. The Knights Templar are not and never were a chaopter of the Freemasons. The Knights Templar pre-date the Freemasons by several hundred years, there are unp;roven theories that the Freemasons may in some way be successors to the Knights Templar, but the statement in this artciale is complete rubbish. Knowing these two facts, I regretably have to assume that the remainder of the article is no more valid than they are.

I live in Denver and have been through DIA a few dozen times over the past 13 years. I think the conspiracy claims are pretty silly. If you ever actually get to DIA and have time to walk through it you’ll probably notice how un-creepy it actually is. Lots of this stuff can be debunked (several articles are available). The one thing in this article that’s new to me is about the Navajo ‘The Mountain that is White’ phrase. It’s a stretch to associate this with Mt. Very interesting idea! I think that could prove a very worthwhile approach in establishing long term relationships. I think that you would need to prioritise quite heavily towards the people who either link to you all the time or who have large, powerful sites. But these are the perfect people to build a relationship with as they have already shown that they like you by placing the link.

I’ve seen the crap that our government and people are doing under DIA and another area around there underground. They are choosing certain people to go down there when all the really bad stuff starts happening. I watched the man say that if you are not choosen to be there when everything starts happening and you try to get in there you will be shot on the spot. What I am anxious to see is the so called “elite” die from being underground in these shelters when the earthquakes start happening. I am curious as to how densities was taken on the grounds that the airport was built on. Them densities have to be no less then 100% before they could even build the airport. If not, due the the weight of the planes and everything the grounds can collapse. I was completely shocked to see a certain construction company involved in this underground work because I worked with that company for 4 years at other airports. I have learned over the years that if our government is involved in something, it’s most likely illegal . If I sound bitter it’s because I’ve always believed that everyone should try to help anyone in need. Not just those choosen.

I’m an ex flight attendant and I’ve been through DIA countless times. This is news to me. I find the sheer brilliance it would take to pull something like this off (and then, basically, shove it down our throats on a daily basis) truly fascinating. The Freemasons, The Knights Templar, The Catholic Church, Justin Bieber….all very, very interesting oddities, for sure. Thanks for an interesting read.
If we don’t build it now ,someone will question why we didn’t when we had the time and resource to do it. And this is also happening all around the world and with many major construction projects. Question is why? “are we going to hide or takeoff to someplace? Or is it out of control spending. Some question if the mob is running all this gigantic construction

I have found that when you want to hide something from someone
the best place to hide is right in front of your face, knowing that it will be overlooked. It’s right there in front us folks, all you have to do is believe what your eyes are telling you. Some things are hard to fathom but it doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Don’t be afraid to ask the hard questions when something doesn’t seem right. Would you trust a pediphile with your child? Can you not see there is something just as odd at DIA? With all of the info here and the statements should you not ask and investigate.

I’m no construction worker or civil engineer, or architect, but I can tell you this: buildings near airports need to be low to the ground. how can you build 5 buildings, and then “bury” them without creating a mountain that would interfere with planes taking off and landing? you would need to dig a very large hole and then move a fully constructed building into that hole. is this what is claimed was done? or did they build these buildings inside a hole and then “bury them”. either way it just sound like a bogus thing to convince a construction crew to work on. just saying.
