The actions of Kim Jong-Il can only be seen in history as pedantic and naive. How can such a statement be made? Simply look at the global political climate and consider what would happen if World War III was to be initiated Pyongyang. Here is a model of what may occur.

Whether it is the firing of a long range ballistic missile test, an accidental encounter with a U.S. Naval ship or an accidental of any weapon fired by North Korea on any other nation, Pyonyang is poised to begin the war. Once the action is made and considering their may be a death toll on the nation who is attached whether it be South Korea, Japan or the United States, the reaction will be swift and shocking.

Any of the three nations coming under attack will quickly be supported by the other two. North Korea will quickly have China and Russia standing behind them as they would undoubtedly continue to threaten “any nation which is hostile” towards North Korea. At this point, missile strikes would begin against North Korea. In the event that they have fired a nuclear weapon, one simple missile fired from an American battleship or submarine would annihilate North Korea.

That is Kim Jong-Il’s best case scenario. He must hope to be remembered in the history books. After Pyongyang is instantaneously leveled and South Korea takes over all of Korea, WWIII would ensue with China versus USA as the headline. Way to go guys.
