With the outright boldness and defiance of North Korea and Kim Jong towards the United States, how will the United Nations react?
As the days unfold Kim Jong II seems to become bolder and more outright defiant of the the hapless United Nations and handcuffed United States. Even with the United Nations “sanctions” that were implemented less than a month ago after North Korea attempted a 2nd nuclear test, Jong has threatened the United States with a missile he says can reach Hawaii 4,500 miles away. the scheduled date for this could not be more fitting for Americans, the 4th of July. Jong has done this before, 3 years ago he sent a missile on the 4th of July that had Hawaii as its destination as well. The missile however blew up seconds after its detonation and was never a viable threat.
3 years have passed and Kim Jong believes once again that he must prove to the world that he is a threat to the United States. The US however has her hands tied. With so many soldiers already committed to Iraq and Afghanistan, it can ill afford to start a preliminary attack against another terrorist regime. In a perfect world and if the United Nations regained its spine, they would take the initiative and police the blatant disregard for peace and overt threats to not only the United States but the world.
Robert Gates, the Defense Secretary of the United States, stated that the United States is prepared for the attack, but only in a defensive matter. “Without telegraphing what we will do, I would just say…we are in a good position should it become necessary to protect Americans and American territory.”
The United States has a ground based mobile missile system and radar system set up in Hawaii ready for such an attack, but is that how we really continue to grow and prosper as a country? By waiting for an attack that is not even being held secret? If North Korea has the audacity to tell us where and when they will be sending a Taepondong -2 missile towards our 50th state, what makes us think that they wont do this without informing us of their plans, or that they wont aim for California? With our hands tied abroad in Iraq and Afghanistan, it is time for the rest of the world to also stand up against this tyrannical leader and put an end to his regime, not merely with sanctions and slaps on the wrist, but possible force and power.

The U.S. better stop concerning itself about U.N. treaties and concern itself about the safety of it’s 300,000,000+ citizens who are at risk if North Korea starts carrying out their nuclear threats. A country can always deal with a broken treaty a lot easier than it can bury tens of millions of it people during a time when most of it’s infrastructure is wiped out. And if you are not a born again christian, I guess I need not tell you where you will end up if you die that way if and when all of this breaks loose.
There will be many millions of souls drop into Hell on that day as Matthew 7:13 & 14 warn that only few will find the narrow path to salvation. 153,000 people die every day around the world as it is.
I forgot one other thing on the comment I’ve just posted. If you tell me you are an athiest anyway, I will tell you there are no athiests in Hell…They stopped being an athiest the moment they arrived there.
Harry sorry it took so long to respond. I am a strict Catholic and and am of the belief that we should strike before North Korea. However I feel that we do not have the proper man power to launch an EFFECTIVE attack which would be costly. That is what i was saying. I do not feel we need a multilateral attack for being in Iraq or Afghanistan but with our small available troops it would be nice, hence the UN comments. I believe they are a complete waste of space and should not be involved in any of our policy making as it seems you feel as well.
