A little opinion on this news article roaming the internet.
So there are a lot of articles floating around regarding a threat supposedly made by North Korea, most of which containing the quote, “If the U.S. imperialists start another war, the army and people of Korea will … wipe out the aggressors on the globe once and for all.” The quote being a little misleading is it appears there was something said between the first and last half of this statement that has been left out of basically every article regarding this matter online.
A little curious, I found the source of the quote and went there to find the original and am saddened to report that I have not found a direct quote. However while searching through articles relating to the US, as there are many, it has become apparent that North Korea refers to the United States not as the US, but as the US Imperialist. It is apparent that the North Korean news agency KCNA has a very distinct view towards the United States. Most of the articles refer to the US as imperialistic, inhumane, monstrous and just about any other negative phrase ever considered towards the US.
The main point I wish to make here is none, rather, I wish to imply a question, in an age where information travels all around the world almost instantaneously via the internet from countless sources, what information we receive is true? What information is opinion? What is manifested for anothers hidden agenda? Does North Korea truly believe they can wipe out the US? Can they actually wipe out the US? Has a North Korean official with the ability to actually make this claim, in fact made it?
