Being black is no longer a disadvantage.

I am now proud that I’m black

Don’t ask me why, just find out who rules the greatest country on this planet. Now let me make it clear, long time ago, black was a colour not to be associated with, it was a race to run from and usually it is so associated with crime and other evil stuffs, that they made us believe devil was black and so is evil but now who cares about all that.

Whether Obama is the first black president or not is not my point, he is black and that answers it. Funny as it maybe, regardless of the fact that we have nothing to gain except for the fact that a colour long rejected is on the throne of the most prestigious nation.

Actually I realize the fact that Obama is only black on the outside, but does it even really matter? Most white folks are black in the inside (whatever that means) but the colours of their skin do betray them. And who knows, its also possible that most black folks are white in the inside, all the same who cares?

Black is a colour, black is a race and black is beautiful, at least that is what they made us understand and it will soon come to a time when the colour of our skin is of no importance to our status in the society.
