In this article I comment on Obama’s socialist policies and their danger to the American way of life.

In our efforts, we should be trying to create a successful country.  For over fifty years the American government has been throwing money at social ills and we have worse problems today then before.  However, the democrat socialist liberals still believe that government programs are the answer.

Let us have a serious look at government programs. Social Security trust fund is empty again.  Public school systems only have a 60% high school graduation rate.  Government accounting offices have stated that Social Security and Medic Aid will run out of money in about twenty years. There is no money now.  They are just calculating expected tax revenues in the future.  According to people who have analyzed these entitlement programs there will be less money coming in to these programs then going out.

I don’t know about you, but I get everyone else’s mail. When I write, “Does not live here” on the envelope and put the letter back in the mailbox it sits there for about two weeks.  At times I have had to take the wrongly delivered mail to the main post office to be treated like a criminal, like I am going around taking people’s mail out of their mailboxes.

Let’s face it all of us have experience with government departments that do not fulfill their function. Whether it is waiting for over 8 months for a passport or constantly having some else’s mail delivered to us.

Now, government wants to take over healthcare.  Why would a government deep in debt want to take on even more financial responsibility?  Today, the American government is running on printed money and borrowed money.

I know there are people who will do anything they can to avoid paying their healthcare bills.  Here, where I live, many people have the attitude they should not have to pay for healthcare.  It is not because they cannot afford it.  It is just that healthcare cost do not factor in on their life goals.  “Besides hospital owners are all crooks. So, why should they have to pay? “, are the popular sentiments.

They do not mind materialism.  Most have big trucks, cell phones, cable/satellite TV, Internet, among other electronics.  However, they cannot pay health insurance.

Let it not be said I am on the side of hospitals, clinics, and doctors.  For seven years I worked in a hospital as a stupid security guard.  It is my opinion, healthcare facilities do charge more than they should charge.

However, I am not in favor of government regulations.  Insurance, does remove the consumer from the pain of paying.  If people had to pay for it direct, they would shop around for better deals.  This way doctors, labs, clinics, and hospitals would have to actually compete for customers.

I have never bought in to the idea that high technology is responsible for a lot of the high cost in healthcare.  Since the MRI there has not been much major healthcare inventions, yet healthcare prices have increase well over the rate of inflation.

Therefore, there has to be something else to account for increase in healthcare cost.  In Mexico they have a practice of charging what ever they want for necessities like power, gas, and food.  The attitude of most Mexican companies is “if they want it, they will pay for it”.  What is a person suppose to do, go with out food?

In addition, here in stupid El Paso, Texas there are private clinics that take customers on their ability to pay.  These clinics charge less for doctor’s visits.  They even have partnerships with labs that save their customers money.  Therefore, an alternative is possible.

My great concern is the American way of life.  Right now, even in this economic crisis, more than 80% are continuing to be productive members of society.  I do not see how anyone can expect to take their neighbors earnings.  However, most of Obama policies are against the spirit that built this great nation.

I had met a couple that I took to the airport.  Their family was from the capital city in Mexico.  On the way to the airport we talked about the crime situation in Mexico.  Today, I read in a Mexican newspaper’s web site that a Mexican official in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico is going to come live in the American side because of the crime situation in Juarez.

The man and his wife where in El Paso to arrange their emigration in to the US because the company the man works for is going to permanently relocate him in Hawaii. He works for a hotel chain.

Well, as it is my custom, during the conversation I emphasized that Mexico has everything it needs to have as great an economy as the US.  It has natural resources.  Mexico has a legitimate education system.  Many of Mexico’s citizens are prepared to participate in a modern world economy.

The challenge in Mexico is that the agricultural person does not want to catch up with the modern world.  Many Mexicans want to continue to be farmers.  However, there is an abundance of farmers, which means very little money for each one.  In addition, the global fruit and vegetable market leaves Mexicans unable to compete.   US and other nation’s farmers can very easily flood Mexico with low priced fruits and vegetables.

Mexico also has the problem of abuse by business people and politicians towards the Mexican people.  Business owners have bought politicians, whom they order to keep wages and benefits for the Mexican worker low.   The average daily earnings for a Mexican worker are 38 Mexican dollars.  Depending on the exchange rate this can be as low as two American dollars a day.  I can’t even buy a Big Mac for two dollars.

Now, some interpret this as unfair distribution of wealth.  This is where the conversation with man and woman I wrote about earlier hit a snag.  In Mexico it is popular to think, “If it wasn’t for those crooked politicians and greedy business owners”. I am not a fan of such rhetoric.  I can only expect from life what I have earned.

However, doesn’t this rhetoric sound familiar.  Isn’t it the diarrhea of the mouth of Obama rhetoric?  I have heard Obama and his treasury secretary say they are going to try and manage economic bubbles.  In addition, Obama and company want to set salaries for CEO’s.

Corporate America is a big problem.  For decades people in corporate America have been corrupting politicians and manipulating workers, consumers, and competitors.  In the last fifteen years people in corporate American leadership went crazy with their lust for money.

Today Bernie Madoff got sentenced to 150 years for using fraud to steal from his investors.  He is only one example. I started keeping count of unscrupulous business people ever since Enron.

However, I am still not against free enterprise and big business.  Every one has to work for some one.  I work for my customers.  They get their money from the companies they work for in life.

Therefore, there is no reason to get an anti-business attitude.  I tell every customer that complains about my prices that they are under no obligation to use my services. If enough people do not use my services to the extent that I cannot stay in business, then I lower my prices or got out of business.

This simple principle should apply for all businesses.  I just bought a new HP laptop.  I did not by Dell again because of previous poor customer service.  There is a 7-11 convenience store on the corner of Montana and Airway Street that I will not do business with because of poor customer service.  I won’t buy gas in the Valero gas/convenience stores because the parent company is a Mexican company.

This is the choice of the consumer.  I am not racist. I was born in Mexico.  However, I will not do business with Mexican companies because I do not like how they fund democratic liberal Hispanic socialist policies.  I am a person who will put his money where his political voice is in society.

If I did not, I would be like every other insincere person.  Obama and democrat policies are insincere.  Banks, investment firms, auto manufacturers, real estate developers, healthcare, and other business leaders support Republican initiatives.  If you want to understand Obama politics, follow the money.

It is my opinion, Obama and company want to financially ruin Republican supporters.  Why else would Obama and his friends want such massive control over these industries?  Today, I was wondering about how all those conservative business people who donated to the Obama’s cause for president feel right now.

Higher taxes will discourage investment.  This will result in fewer sales.  Fewer sales mean fewer stores and fewer employees.  Fewer employees mean less buying, which inurn means less profit and taxes.

Therefore, not only is Obama going to mess with the major industries needed to rebuild the American economy.  He is also going to drain investment from America.  In the end there will be fewer taxes to repay all the debt Obama has already accrued.

Therefore, let give my close.  The American economy right now is in a crisis state.  Industries like healthcare are needed to get America back to work again.  However, Obama’s policies will discourage investment in America and will make things worse.
