The president is extending federal benefits.
President Obama has announced that he will be extending federal benefits to the partners of homosexual employs. What is he thinking?
This country is drowning in a sea of debt. In the past six months, America has become more indebted than it has been in 220 years. Now here is another plan, from the Obama Administration to give away more money that WE don’t have to give. He needs to be focused on rebuilding this economy, not acting like a kid in the candy store with the government credit card.
Heterosexuals have to be married in order for their spouses to get benefits. But all you have to do is say that you are someone’s homosexual partner and Obama will write you a check. This is not fair treatment. What happened to our morals in this country?
Under this administration, there has been excessive spending since January, but nothing has come from it. The recover package that congress passed, does nothing for the average citizen. The jobs that are outlined in it, call for either a degree or special qualifications. There are new taxes to take what little money people have left in their pockets and send it back to Washington. How are people supposed to survive if there is nothing left for them to put food on the table? When is the government going to start working for the American People again?
At the rate that this administration is handing out money, the welfare line might as well start at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Of course, to get in that line, you would have to be in one of the following categories, foreign legal or otherwise, not English speaking, homosexual or any variation there of, or a major corporation that is falling apart at the seams.

You know homosexuals are loving couples. They do not have the chance to marry or have civil unions or domestic partnerships recognized on the federal level which makes me sick. You say it is wrong because heterosexuals have to be married to get benefits. How would the homosexuals be married and recognized on the federal level. If you want to level the playing field you should at the least give domestic partnerships that are recognized on a federal level so they have something LIKE marriage so you could microscopically level the playing field.
