Does he deserve it?

The last thing a President like Barack Obama deserves for all of his promises that have not been delivered is a Nobel Peace Prize. Why not give it to a person who has done something for our world, a person like Lieutenant-General Roméo Antonius Dallaire, people like Mother Teresa? These are the people who have fought on the front lines of wars. These are the the men and women who have seen tragedies so horrifying that they have almost lost their will to live. Barack Obama, however, has only been promising many things to the American peoples. In what way does that promote peace? He has promised “we will revive the economy while we rein in our spending; we will make health care simpler, safer, cheaper, fairer. We will rid the earth of its most lethal weapons. We will turn green and clean. We will all just get along.”Has this happened yet? Every person has probably thought “Does he deserve a prize for promising things that he has not completed yet? What has he done for world peace?” Some have convinced themselves that he does deserve it. And yet, there are still men begging at the corner of each street. Some for money to drink and booze, others to support families. This is more than enough proof to show that the mere illusions he has created that he is spending his time trying to create a cheaper health care is completely untrue. Does accepting the nobel peace prize help support the many middle class people? What has he done? Some of his competitors like Greg Mortenson deserve it. He is the son of a missionary, worked as a medic and a mountaineer and his dream was to create schools for girls in places where they are killed for trying. This is helping peace not giving empty promises.
