On Guard

People of all walks are always saying this is too high that is too high. Well do something about it; the people own their governments not the government own the people. We bicker about cigarette smoke and so the government lets us have our little bans, not because it healthy, but just to appease you so that you wont attack the bigger issue at hand. Gas prices keep going higher and higher, along with everything else. There was a time in this country the U.S. that people stood up for their rights, not anymore though unless of course some other country is threatening their life style.

Our government walks all over us all the time and we let them do it, because we say I’m just one person, well I’m just one person. IF you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything. I’m NOT telling you to go storm the white house, what am telling you is that the rich get richer and poorer get poorer, and that is because high society keeps the rest fight in the garbage. The same with laws some are good, and some are just plain stupid. Ex. you’re in a right turn lane (you can only turn right) you forget to turn on your turn signal, the police pull you over and give you a ticket for failure to use a turn signal. Its a right turn only lane, where do they get these people from. Most laws that have to do with transportation have nothing to do with safety, it’s more to line their pockets. Most police departments across the great U.S.A. have a QUOTA to make. That means they have to find a certain amount of people to write tickets to, just plane insane

Let’s talk about another office in government which most of us have had the so pleasure of dealing with, the housing and or inspection department in most counties. They come to your property and if you don’t fix something by a certain deadline not only do they fine you, you’re charged with a misdemeanor.

Meanwhile the county doesn’t maintain their own properties, grass is long windows are broken, fences are down etc. I once was buying a house in Jackson County Mi. I had just got this property it had been boarded up by the city and tagged as unsafe. Well it was tagged unsafe because it had been empty for 2 years, structurally it was fine. Anyway about 2 weeks later the inspector drove by saw me there lights on. He was so mad about me being there, that he didn’t notice, 2 cars with no license plate. Not in the drive but sitting on the lawn which in this county is not allowed. Imagine that you buy a piece a property anymore and you can’t walk up your drive sideways for fear of punishment from the county.

My point is this we call this our country, don’t you think we should act like it instead of waiting for someone else to do it. Because quite frankly that isn’t going to happen, we have to learn how to look beyond our nose. And beside all that this is the legacy you’re passing on to your children and their children “A nation of people that just don’t care”. Which sadly is the truth? To quote a very old Air Force term they use in flight “on guard” America.
