Political commentary.

Well, I think it’s finally happend. The whole of our political apparatus has gone totally wacko.The politicos in the puzzle palace we call The Capitol insist on making themselves look more stupid by the day, if not the hour.
The Senate, some time ago passed a sweeping bill giving ILLEGAL immigrants the right to collect social security benefits even if the job in which they earned them was obtained by fraudulent means, ie, fake birth certificates, green cards, etc.
Senators on both sides of the isle have said that it would be unfair to take away these benefits from these illegals that have worked so hard and contributed so much to our economy and society. Let’s just disregard the fact that they have been violating our laws for umpty ump years and should not even be here, much less, holding any sort of job.
Using their logic, because I served 20 years of active duty in the military and have contributed to our society, if I were to obtain a large sum of money in the form of a loan using forged documents, I should be able to keep the money because I have done so much for our nation and it’s economy. Does this make any sense at all?!
I would love to be able to expound on this subject at length, but I’m to stunned to say anything more than this; Somebody needs to go up to Washington and start slapping some sense into our elected offcials. Poll after poll shows that Americans, including those who have legally immigrated here and have become citizens DO NOT want illegal immigrants here and certainly don’t want them given any kind of amnesty or other benefits.
It’s going to be a very interesting mid term election next year, and I’ll bet that those pols on the wrong side of this issue will soon be looking for new jobs. Maybe they can go to Mexico and become travel agents.
