A creative solution for the problem of homeless illegal aliens.
I’m looking around on Fark today and came across a couple of stories where there is the opportunity for people to lend a helping hand.
In Escondido, CA, the city council has made it illegal for landlords to rent to illegal immigrants. Nearly 40,000 people could be displaced per the new ordinance. These people will most likely be out of work and home, and will probably migrate to the next town to be mistreated there as well. Or will they…
Dateline Pasco, Washington. A 54 year-old grandmother has been working since April to complete a two-story clubhouse for her two granddaughters. She said she had built other things, but nothing as big as this. She said she planned on winterizing it and adding lights. Speaking of lights, one went off in my head after I read about this amazing woman. Stick with me on this.
I did some investigating about Pasco, Washington. I found some great news for the immigrants in Escondido. Pasco is a major trade center for Washington State. They have a large convention and hotel network in the area. I’m sure they are always needing help cleaning rooms and convention halls, and back me up on this one, when is the last time you saw a hotel room not being cleaned by a middle-aged Hispanic women who looked like she had been in the country all of ten minutes. It looks like to me like she crossed the border and was handed a mop and broom. And one of those nifty cleaning carts they always push around. Also, they are very close to a vast freeway system that is probably always in need of repair. (Enough said.) The Grand Coulee Dam is located very near the city and has unlocked some very rich farmland; where grapes, asparagus, onions, potatoes and onions are farmed all year. It is a match made in heaven. Employers looking to pay low wages to unskilled laborers and immigrants in the country illegally looking for a spot to set up shop where they can mow lawns in peace.
So where do they live you say? AH-HA! They can live in tree houses! These tree houses are going to be fully functional homes, complete with electricity. Just imagine it, early in the mornings, dew still on the grass, sun just beginning to rise, thousands of Mexicans climbing out of trees to clean hotel rooms, work the land, and fix our roads. Goddamn, it will be beautiful.
And how did we get to this point you say. You have the city council of Escondido, California to thank for that. “It’s a historic day for Escondido. We are very proud to be leading our city and our country in defending the nation,” said councilman Sam Abed to cheers from supporters in the council chamber moments before the vote. Defending the nation? Defending the nation!!?? From what? Dangerous illegal immigrants that pump gas, perform routine maintenance on lawns, and probably are nannies for these same city council members. Most of these people are not dangerous criminals bent on destroying the American economy, they are desperate people trying to escape a poor nation and make a better life for their kids in what they see as the greatest country in the world.
There are plenty of problems with illegal immigration in this country, but throwing these families out on the street without a pot to piss in is not the answer. Watch the homeless rate in Escondido soar and the same high-class assholes complain because Hispanic people are littering the streets. Maybe they would like it better if they were in the trees.
