Phony Patriots on Television

I’m sure Rush Limbaugh cares so deeply about the small blue collar workers in this country while he golfs every day at a fancy golf course, puffing his cigar, and gets paid millions just to give his opinions.  I see people every day on the internet posting their opinions and making clever points, but they aren’t being paid a dime. If anything, these conservative radio and tv personalities have found a niche.

Their niche is the blue collar worker who works hard every day.  Their niche is the religious folks who want to live a full, simple life.  That’s fine by me.  Every business needs a niche.  That’s how you make money.  Sorry to say, but Hannity, Limbaugh, Beck, Mark Levin, and Ann Coulter believe in the power of the dollar more than they believe in God.  Politicians use things to their advantage.  Good business people use things to their advantage.  Conservatives use God to to make money out of the religious people in this country.  Conservatives have no shame and they will profit from God to further their careers for selfish reasons.  Republicans are the same party who had majority of congress for around 2 years and did nothing to put an end to abortions. 

There is so much anger and partisanship in politics nowadays, but that is because the news is what I call “pop news”.  The media outlets and the news outlets are filled with joy to see liberals and conservatives bitter and at each others throats.  The more angry one half of the country is at the other half of the country, the more Fox News can profit off of it.  But with all this anger, it is only destroying this country.  And with all this partisanship, expect nothing to ever be accomplished. 

Calling into the Sean Hannity show doesn’t make you a patriot.  Just because Sean Hannity tells you that you are a patriot doesn’t make it so.  People need to stop putting themselves on this pedistal that a person can be more American and more patriotic than another person.  The one thing that really irks me is that I believe people in today’s society have a harder time accepting opinions than any other generation of people.  If you have an opinion that disagrees with the Republican party, they will slam you as a 1) Socialist  2) Terrorist  3) Anti-American  4) Godless  5) Communist  6) Marxist  or 7) Unpatriotic.

Fox News doesn’t care about America.  They were thrilled with Obama being elected because they can make money off of bashing all of his policies.  Quick fact.  A good portion of Fox News employees are democrats.  Stop buying into Fox New’s propaganda of how amazing capitalism is when all the CEO’s and corporations that get interviewed on that channel won’t let Fox News ask them tough questions.  When a CEO or executive goes on Fox News, they send Fox News a list of questions they can’t ask.  They can’t ask them questions that might expose how corrupt and greedy these CEO’s are.  Stop trying to pretend the conservative media understands the morals and beliefs of small hard working people.  Do you really think MSNBC loves Obama that much?  MSNBC only went liberal because they weren’t make any money trying to be “neutral”.  The real loser when it comes to ratings is CNN because they are more in the middle.  Don’t believe Fox who constantly bashes the media for loving Obama.  Fox is the media too.  Don’t forget that.  They only bash Obama because everyone else praised them, and the only way you can make money in this country is by giving people an alternative.

I would like it if people would think for themselves instead of being sheep who follow into ideologies.  People who can think for themselves are the real patriots.  Have opinions even if they seem crazy.  The founding fathers disagreed with each other all the time.  That’s what America is all about.  If we didn’t care about this country, we wouldn’t be so vocal.  But don’t let Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck make you think Obama is going to bring an apocolypse and destroy this country.  Don’t be an idiot.  If you have a college degree, don’t be that stupid to believe in such blasphemy.  I went to the mall the other day.  I saw people buying and buying and buying.  If there’s a recession, you would hardly notice if you were at the mall I was at.   But Fox News wants you to think only doom and gloom.  They want you, the hard working blue collar work to be angry at this country.  Sure, people are unemployed and jobs are being slashed.  But blame that on the CEO’s who think people like you are a dime a dozen. 

Read real news websites on the internet.   Television, radio, and newspapers only spew ideology because ideologies sell.  Many news websites online will give you real facts instead of degenerate opinions.  Personally, I miss the days of when news was news, and networks let people decide for themselves.  But now news has become “pop news” where every little news story has to be played 1000 times, and we have to analyze every little stupid thing and make a big stink over it.

You are not an anti American if you don’t agree with Sean Hannity.  You aren’t an anti american if you don’t think Armageddon is coming like Glenn Beck thinks.  Don’t let the phony patriots who dominate radio and television tell you how to be an American.  America is full of opinions, races, religions, and beliefs.  If you can’t handle that, go to Swedon where everyone is white and blonde and blue-eyed.
