A brief commentary on the propriety of Obama’s actions prior to being sworn in, as evidenced by his speech on 01/08/2009.

I am outraged at the sheer audacity of President-elect, Barrack Obama. Appearing on national television in lieu of regularly scheduled programming is usually reserved for The President of the United States. The President’s speeches are usually followed by a commentary given by a high-ranking member of the opposite political party; providing fair and balanced reporting.

In addition to Obama’s behavior being disrespectful and insulting to President Bush and the American public, the absence of any fair and balanced reporting borders on the illegal. Nancy Pelosi has been pitching a temper tantrum for some time now concerning Conservative talk radio not being fair and balanced. Well, where was she today? Where was the Republican rebuttal to Obama’s speech? Where was the fair and balanced reporting by Katie Curic, et.al.?
Obama is not President, yet, and he needs to learn to show respect to the current President and the Office itself. Obama could and should have waited until after he was sworn in before giving speeches to the Nation. That is, IF he is sworn in at all.
