The war in Iraq has done a lot of good. It has over thrown an evil dictator, let people of a democratically starved and war torn land see a little bit of having a voice in their government.

It is still helping today with the security of the people of Iraq but what are we really paying for these people’s new security and benefits.

Money wise we spend about 200 million dollars a month on this war. That is just the money we keep track of. That is right. In 2004 we just lost 9 billion dollars on supplies to U.S contractors. This war has drained tax payers money and it keep doing it until we either pull out or go broke. To make this look worse Mr. President wants even more money to fund this war. How much is he asking? $190 billion dollars just to keep this war afloat for this year.

The biggest loses we are taking are men not coming home alive. What is worse is we have special vehicles that can prevent a lot of these deaths. The estimated death toll adds up to 3,811 men. Some units are sending injured men back into Iraq. Some of them unfit to even to wear the body armor. They are about to send more men into a death.

This war is taking its toll. Are we really willing to take even more punishment. To conclude we are currently about to pour billions of dollars and thousands of men into a lion’s din.
