Proposed: Muslims’ National Prayer Rally on Capitol Hill, Washington DC

It is utterly amazing that according to Intercessors for America (IFA) President Emeritus Gary Bergel, Muslims/Islam has been having “Jummah prayers in the White House for several years now;” and that they have a legal permit to hold a national prayer rally on Capitol Hill, as reported in the September 9th issue of Charisma News Online. 

President Barack Obama did not allow Christians to pray in front of the White House on the traditional National Day of Prayer.  Also at his inauguration, Rick Warren and established Christian pastor who was asked to pray, had to submit his prayer in writing before hand for screening; and he was not allowed to pray in the Name of Jesus Christ.  Are the Muslims being screened also; and in whose name are they going to pray, since the Name of Jesus is not allowed?

Although, President Obama stated at his inauguration that America is a nation of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus and Atheists, he has since said that America is not a Christian nation. It seems as if the president is contradicting himself; and now the Muslims have his permission to pray for the “souls of America,” on Capitol Hill.  Is it not obvious that something is terribly amiss here?

Muslims Praying for the Soul of America?

Will they be praying for the Christian soul or the Muslim soul of America?  These are two completely different entities and positions; and the two cannot be one.  Did they say that they will be praying for “all people to come together?”  This sounds wonderful, but at the same time Christians are being burnt alive in Pakistan.  Don’t they desire Christians and Muslims to come together as one in the East, or is this longing limited to the West?  Are they willing to pray the same prayer in their homelands as in America?  If Islam becomes the ruling religion in America, will Christians be burned at the stakes here too?

America is a Christian Nation Even if President Obama Disagrees

Contrary to Mr. President, America is a Christian nation by her founding fathers and traditions.  We have allowed everyone, even our religious and political enemies to enjoy the freedom and blessings of U.S. citizenship. (I ponder such wisdom, but nonetheless…) Therefore, Christians need to keep their eyes opened, and keep a right relationship withtheir heavenly Father, and keep an effective fellowship with each other, and discern when satan is subtly trying to take over our nation (similar to his actions in the Garden of Eden) and boldly go up to the Throne of Grace to keep our country and nation safe.   Battling Spiritual warfare does not wrestle with flesh and blood.  It takes the anointing of God to overcome the deceptive spirits that rise up to destroy us in our homeland.

The Bible declares, “Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it:  Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)  Let God be true and every man a liar.  If the Muslims are going to pray for the Christian souls of America in the name of Jesus Christ, then I say let’s all go stand with them in oneness.  But if anything different, let’s resist it in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
