President Obama would rather boycott the UN conference on racism than acknowledge racism exists.

The United Nations conference on racism kicked off with a bang as the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad described Israel as the “most cruel and racist regime”.  The Obama administration must of thought this was a serious accusation as they read about it in an online news report or televised news event like the rest of us.

Many would think the first black President of the United States would find a conference on racism as something worth attending; apparently not.  Eight other countries pulled out of the conference just like the United States on the fear that Muslim dominated countries would say something negative about Israel.  Yes, the same Israel that has threatened to send rockets into Iran multiple times in the last few months.

Some would ask, is the United States more committed to it’s own people, or the people of Israel?  Since the Obama administration chose not to attend, it’s clear where their allegiance lies.  The United States must surely be a great and wonderful utopia where racism doesn’t exist.  It’s not like the color of the President’s skin ever came up during the election, or been discussed since.

The celebration of four murdered police officers by the community of Oakland surely had nothing to do with racism.  Nor did the multiple threats on the Presidents life through the election fueled by racism.  There’s probably zero racial overtones in the constant battle to fix the broken immigration system.

The main stream media even went to the lengths to portray the latest tax day/tea party protests as racist events.  How could that possibly be?  If the President of the United States doesn’t feel the need to attend a conference on racism, it must surely not exist.

Apparently, defending Israel by boycotting the conference is more important than addressing an issue the people of the United States face everyday.

How great can a President ever be great when he puts the interests of others before his own countrymen.  Turning your back on your own people to involve yourself in some Middle East affair doesn’t sound like change at all, but instead the third term of George W. Bush.  So much for change we can believe in.
