Right to Life

     For decades this nation has been faced with the controversial issue of abortion.  Since the decision of Roe vs. Wade, the fight for the right to life has been waged.  The right to life has fueled a fire that burns greater year by year.  We have learned as a nation to agree to disagree in this significant matter that touches all of us on some level.

     Who has the right to decide who is right and who is wrong in the volatile issue of abortion?  Does the government have the right to decide if abortion should be allowed?  Does the church have a better voice in this decision?  What about the millions of pregnant women around the country?  Should they have the right to say what is right and what is wrong on the abortion stand?

     Those who believe that every fetus has the right to live and those who think that the choice of abortion is theirs both claim to be the victors in this continuing battle.  It may be decades yet before a winner can be determined.  In the meantime, abortion is something we agree to disagree on yet.  Choices must be made.  Pro life or pro choice?  We must take a stand and believe in it.
