An article briefly raising the issue of how Sarah Palin’s lack of comunication skills does not bode well for 2012.

Sarah Palin, with a wink and a nod, hit the American media with an energy seldom seen on the front page of politics. This charisma allotted her a space on a disintegrating political platform that was attempting to disguise her lack of experience or knowledge of the greater issues through her “down-home” charm.(After all – it almost worked for the last 8 years)

Watching Sarah Palin in one on one interviews was like watching a child trying to excuse coming home late and was repeating a script a friend told him to say. She paused a lot with “hmm & uhhs”, referred to unrelated details to refocus the conversation, sentences were disjointed and if all else failed – blame the other guy. Where is the smooth organization of thoughts or facts? Where was the logical conclusions? Basically, Sarah Palin continually faltered and flailed in the face of intelligent conversation.  She was a prime example of how not to speak in public.

On the campaign trail, she used her charisma to fuel juvenile emotional reactions from the crowds in order to escape speaking of anything of real substance. Is this really what her party platform wanted? Feeding off of suspicion, fear and just plain ignorance is a cheap tactic and one used by cult leaders – not leaders of our country.

While I, as a woman, can appreciate the accomplishments of a PTA mom rising to the positions which she has accomplished, her lack of effective communication skills, was blatant on the stage of a Presidential campaign.

Sarah Palin is still attempting to stay in the lime light by inserting herself in other campaigns or political issues, but her desperatin has become too apparent.  If she really wants to run in 2012, she should first focus on the image of her that was missing - an intelligent, capable  and knowledgable leader who is able to communicate to all of America.
