My opinion on the Caylee/Casey Anthony case.
For the past few months, the Caylee Anthony case has taken the media by storm. She was a three year old who lived in Florida, reported missing by her family. From day one, the media zeroed in on the little girl’s mother,twenty-something year old Casey Anthony because from day one, she’d done nothing but lie to authorities and exhibit behavior other than that of a concerned parent. Pictures were released, showing Casey partying in various clubs, phone records were released exhibiting text messages where she complained about having a child and her frustrations about not being able to get out more because of her motherly responsibilities, and her computer reportedly showed suspicious activity, such as googling how to make chloroform, and information on neck breaking. Not only was she reported as telling lies, other family members had reportedly made false statements as well. The most shocking development to me was when it was discovered that this “nanny” that supposedly took Caylee was discovered as having no type of relationship whatsoever with the Anthonys, this poor woman had a negative stigma attached to her because her name was mentioned and she doesn’t even know these people.
Sadly enough, little Caylee’s remains were recovered within the past week, after authorities combed an area that was reported by a meter reader two previous times before several months ago. So, Casie still remains locked up, while the debate continues as to whether or not she commited this crime as well as whether or not the meter reader had any involvement in the demise of this little girl. I’m going to stay tuned to find out what the outcome of this sad case will be and although I do believe in the judicial mantra that an individual is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law I will say this: Casey, if she didn’t commit the crime knows who did, and she needs to tell the authorities what she knows so that little Caylee can rest in peace.
