Nelson “Nelrotic” Padilla debuts his inspirational “Anthem for the Obama nation” as conservative resistance and cabinet selection candidate issues plague Obama’s fledgling presidency.
Paved by multicultural and multigenerational hands, the road to victory was fairly easy for President Obama. Yet, within the past seven weeks of his presidency, his message and plan for change have been met with resistance, apprehension, and Tea party protests in various states. His favorable rating in the polls remain steady at around sixty percent but conservatives such as Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh have been waging a media campaign determined to paint him as a Socialist and the one who will be America’s demise.
One would think that messages of these top conservative talk show host would cause rampant fear in a time when recession has stripped jobs, and some
times homes from many in the working class. However, hope is still alive and members of the Obama Nation are singing their songs of inspiration. Nelson “Nelrotic” Padilla, a singer/songwriter who has worked with artists such as Wyclef Jean, Carlos Santana and Robin S., has released the world premier of his video entitled, The Anthem(Obama we do need you now). A song with an infectious hook that will linger in your mind throughout the day was written by Mr. Padilla after he attended a debate between John McCain and Barack Obama in his Hometown of Hempstead, New York.
In Mr. Padilla’s own words, “I am Hoping that, People realize that, We are all in This Together, Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, and That We Really Need to Allow Obama, to bring the course of change he is working so hard for. He has Done So much in such a little time, and His Humanistic way of being is what This Country, and The World needs right now, to make a difference. I am Hoping that the uplifting message in my song can make a difference no matter what party you are from, it is an Uplifting and Spiritual song that everyone can enjoy.”
