About supporting President Barack Obama when you’re ideologically opposed to him.
I’m a Republican–my position on finances and personal accountability runs counter to Obama’s financial and economic policies. However, I’ll give Obama some credit. Why?
He has given HOPE to our nation.
He has a VIBE about him. He’s a celebrity–and that’s how the media portrays him. He is a MAN OF HIS WORD–or at least let’s hope he is.
I Believe in GOD, and I don’t believe that God would purposefully put the United States in harms way.

Good points and advice. I am morally opposed to some of the things that Barack Obama supports, especially his stand on abortions, but he still deserves this country’s respect for his office. Well written.
I agree with you. I just hope our nation is ready for this.
If a man is worthy of his own success then he should be a success for the United States.
I am a Canadian… I was thrilled, as was much of the world. I think Americans need to know how popular this man is in the rest of the world – because I think many Americans are still living with their head in the sand thinking the USA is beloved everywhere else.. and in truth – it’s not! THis man will help turn that around.
Also I want to note, that dispite what many Americans think – God does NOT favor USA above any other country.
Aside from being the first African-American president of the US, it’s the peaceful transition to power that got me interested. I hope we had that back here. Sigh.
