This is concerning the precious children that are abducted through out the US and what needs to be done.

I am so sick of turning the TV on only to find yet another child missing in this Country. It is so heart breaking to see this continue to happen. Even having the Amber Alert System in place; it just seems to be getting worse and worse. Florida seems to be the worst state for abductions in my opinion.  In this great Country that we live in there has to be a better way to protect our precious children.

I think a good start would be to have citizens patrolling areas where there are a lot of registered pedophiles. Also they would patrol the areas around our schools.  I  believe each state needs to hire a team of citizens from each county.  Each person would have to go thru a complete background check and training.  There would be three work shifts each eight hours. This would help the economy by putting people back to work plus helping to keep our children safe and preventing these abductions.  How these people would get paid would be thru government funding unless someone has a better idea.  If we have people patrolling the streets throughout the night and day it would be harder for these criminals to get to our kids.

It’s not right when a child can be sleeping in their beds and be taken away in the dark of night.  Or when a child is walking to school and never makes it there.  Having a child missing is just the most horrible thing that a parent should never have to go through.

Last year it was Baby Caylee missing from Orlando Florida, even though we for the most part now know what happened to her unfortunately.  Every time you turn around another child is missing and I just don’t believe the authorities are doing enough to prevent this from happening in the first place.  We as a society need to come together to prevent this from continuing to happen to our children.  Something has to give and it really has to happen now!

As of 2/10/09 to 3/8/09 there have been 7 children ages 1 to 16 missing from Satsuma, Florida to Escondido, Ca,  Los Angeles Ca., Kansas City, MO, Bloomington, Ill and Baltimore, MD.  They are listed on the National Center for Missing and Exploited children’s.   If you wish to see their pictures and many more please Google “national Center for missing & exploited children’s.”
