Taxes – the solution for a wealthy upper class to become more wealthy.
Ok, with the world in such a dramatic depressed state, thank god for the government! Talk about kick you when your down? Lets raise tax on the few things that bring us peace, alcohol and cigarettes. Im originally from the east coast, and these crazy cigarette prices are nothing new, but leave the liquor alone!

We have to have some way to relax, and escape a little!
So now cigarettes here are around $6.50 cents a pack, better than New York which is around $11 depending on where you shop. Its tobacco! The tobacco companies are not starving. To all the people who are addicted to cigarettes, the tobacco companies should pay us for selling a HIGHLY addictive substance. Do you really think Phillip Morris is worried about money? Hell no! He’s making a five dollar profit off the same garbage he’s been selling for a decade.

Dont even let me get started on the alcohol. Leave us to drown ourselves in peace. Dont raise the taxes on it. Like we dont pay enough damn tax already. We have taxes for everything! The pockets are getting tighter and the goodies are getting more expensive. I truly believe these are the kinds of things that lead people to riot. I wish I was born in the 40’s so I could have lived my youth in the 60’s. This world has become a virtual prison. The government is the cell. The law is the poverty, and taxes are the steel toed boot kicking you when your down.

If Obama wants to help out our economy with a stimulis plan, send US the damn money. Not these Mega-Corporations who already have so much money that the hardest choice in thier world is Mercedez benz or Jaguar! If we all recieved $10,000 bucks the world would be a happier place. Then Id go buy a case of beer, a carton of Marlboro’s and a flat screen. Then proceed to the checkout. The world is a bad internet pay site, that costs way to much per month. Freedom is a memory, peace is a fairytale. Justice is a dollar sign. Welcome to America 2009.
Yes Obama…we need change, and thats about all were getting for our hard work…change. If it doesnt make dollars it doesnt make cents

a very interesting and timely article, I too agree that Mr. Obama must make true his promises.
Right On! The tobacco companies are who we should be waging war on. My uncle, very brilliant, use to be employed designing intelligence tests. Big tabacco company recruited him, he accepted on the condition of the god almighty dollar. Not much later he after he realised they just wanted him to find peoples addictions, he threw his cigaretts away in protest, and quit his job to live in his car. hasn’t smoked since. Rotten bastards, I’m glad to see you exposing their scheme for what it really is!
Yet again, another great article! I loved this one. 100% true with some rhyming. =)
I really think though if people would break their addiction to alcohol and cigs then they could be spending $ on other things to relax themselves that isn’t taxed. But obviously, it’s not that easy.
Like the way you ended it! Some good points in this article.
You quoted cigarettes as being $6.50 to $11.00 per pack. Is that a ten pack of 20 cigarette (200 cigarettes) or one pack of 20 cigarettes.
Over here in the UK one packet of 20 cigarettes costs around US$7.50,
thats $75 for a ten pack of 20 cigarettes (if you get my drift!)
Next time, don’t hold back!
Enjoyed it.
Thanks,
Clay
