The Deadly Truth About Abortion

Abortion is one of the biggest epidemics of today. Just in the last 40 years there have been about 50,000,000 abortions. This is a huge issue that needs to be noticed and we, as human beings, need to put an end to this mass murder. Although many people believe that abortion is a right, it should be made illegal worldwide because it is murder, it should not be a form of birth control, it is immorally wrong and most importantly abortion takes away the right to have a voice from all the innocent babies murdered through abortion.

In 1973 the Supreme Court issued the verdict of Roe vs. Wade and made abortion officially legal in the United States. But abortion has been around much longer than that. Ancient tribes would sometimes be forced to move quickly, and pregnant women could slow the entire tribe down. Abuse of the woman’s abdomen, and later abuse through excessive horseback riding, could cause the baby to be born prematurely. This baby was then either killed or left to die. Unfortunately, the mother also frequently died during the birthing. Today abortion is much safer for the mother, but just as deadly to the child.

Many women, mainly teen girls, have the mindset that, “Oh, if I get pregnant then I’ll just have an abortion” Today abortion is teen girl’s back-up plan, their plan B. The world has instilled in woman’s minds that abortion is just the new form of “birth control”. With this mindset women think they are “invincible” because they can just have an abortion but that doesn’t exempt them from all the possible STD’s that come with being “invincible”. Sure, go ahead and have sex left and right, but you are not, and I repeat, you are not exempt from all the sexual diseases out there that are just waiting to take over your life. And don’t forget the immense emotional pain and damage done to women who have abortions. So many women can’t handle the guilt of the thought that they had life inside them and they chose to strip that beautiful gift away from them and the poor, helpless baby that was inside of them.

It blows my mind how people can agree that abortion is a completely “o.k.” procedure and is a well-deserved right that should be given to all women. Abortion is so immorally wrong that it is crazy how many people don’t recognize it. Our Almighty God that gave us our very breath of life has blessed us with this thing called life and when a woman throws that gift back in God’s face it is completely disrespectful and ungrateful. Psalms 127:3 says, “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.” Children are God’s beautiful gifts to us and we should not just literally “throw it in the trash”. Now what about woman who have been raped or experienced incest? Is abortion “o.k.” then? NO. Abortion is still violently stripping away the beautiful gift of life from innocent, helpless babies. In Genesis 50:20 it says, “God can use for good that which is meant for evil.” Through all things God CAN and will bring good. God says that He knew us when we were in our mother’s womb even before we were born. God has a plan for everything. He even has a plan for the innocent baby who is growing inside of a woman who has been raped. God has a plan for everyone.

In the 1st Amendment of the Constitution it states that we, as American citizens, have the freedom of speech or the freedom to have a voice and to have that voice heard. So has abortion not violently stripped that right away from the 50,000,000 innocent babies that have been murdered since 1973? The Bible says in Proverbs 31:8-9, “Speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, defend those who cannot defend themselves, and plead the cause of those in need.” Abortion needs to be stopped. Abortion needs to be abolished forever. Those 50,000,000 babies that have been murdered since 1973 couldn’t stand up for themselves and neither can the one million innocent babies that will be slaughtered this year alone by abortion. They are completely innocent and their voices will never be heard because no one stood up for them to defend their rights as human beings. These babies are innocent and helpless. Proverbs 6:16-17 says, “There are seven things God hates and of which is hands that shed innocent blood.” We all need to make a stand and defend the right to have a voice for all the helpless babies murdered through abortion.

So, as we all know abortion is a huge controversial issue. It is now up to us, as equal human beings, to make a stand and choose between letting the shedding of innocent babies’ blood to continue or to defend these babies innocent blood and end abortion for good. It is our responsibility, as children of God, to defend the helpless, to stand up for the weak, to choose life.
