This is a decision we will regret for a long time.

In my opinion this is garbage. Why bail out Wall Street these are the people that got us into this mess in the first place.

I can hear all the nay sayers “no its the low income people that never had any business trying to get a mortgage they couldn’t afford”

Well shame on them for wanting to get their own place, to stop paying rent on someone else’s house, to try and grasp their part of the “American Dream”.These people had jobs when they applied for these mortgages, they may not have been the best paying jobs in the world, none the less they were still jobs.

Then our world gets turned upside down George Bush steals the election from Al Gore, and republicans take control of the house and senate for the next six years. Party time on Wall Street, the deregulation of the financial industry begins, I correct myself it actually began with Reagan. But with GWB it really takes off, and for what little regulations that are left, they are not enforced because this administration turns a blind eye to whats happening. I guess they were too focused on that hot bed of terror, Iraq.

I’ve heard it asked of these so called experts why not give this money to the people. you figure there are 200 million people over the age of 18 in the U.S., approximately. They say no the banks then wouldn’t have money to lend out, I beg to differ most people would use this money to pay off these mortgages and credit cards. Those who don’t own homes could buy them for cash. Those who do, would purchase new cars, cash.

That whole paragraph above is the problem The banks and Wall Street don’t want us to be able to afford these things, they want us to borrow money from them, so they can charge us interest and fill their own pockets while sitting on their fat as@#$. I have two things that I have invented, but can’t do a thing about it cause I don’t have any money. Things that would make everyones life easier, but the drawings just sit here and gather dust.

I am so disgusted in our government, for passing this legislation it makes me sick. It proves that the government doesn’t represent us it represents the haves, not the have nots.
