The House of Commons Scandal: What Should Be Done?

I hear so many people complaining about Imp’s and what they are claiming for expenses, but in the real world what should be done about it. Yes, we could call a general election but would this really cure the problem. Yes, we need a government and Yes MP’s need to be paid. But why should MP’s be any different to any other job. I don’t see a Nurse, Binman, Mechanic, etc getting allowances for a second home. Most people can’t afford one home never mind two. Outdated laws need to be changed! Most people go to work, earn a living and out of that income, pay the bills. Why should MP’s differ?.

The problem now is that the law needs to be changed but it’s the government that makes the changes. Would you vote to reduce your income if you were an MP-NO! We do need a reform. We do need people as MP’s, but it should be for the right reasons. There should be a set wage and out of that MP’s should pay for things like anyone else. People in an everyday job get a set wage and extra income comes from overtime they do-they don’t have £… as expenses-Why should MP’s ?
