The Gaza flotillas have been a successful prop in the Pallywood propaganda machine.
The Pallywood propaganda machine is a lot like Hollywood. The basic story is the “brutal” Israelis verses “innocent” Palestinians, who suffer all because of the “brutal” Israeli “occupiers”. In this story, the storyline is always suffering Palestinians. And this story needs cameras and props. This article will talk about one of the props; the “Free Gaza” flotillas.
Those flotillas were set up by the Free Gaza Movement, which includes the ISM [International Solidarity Movement] and other anti-Israel propaganda groups, to make Israel look bad and to shield terrorists.
Repeatedly, the IDF has called on the activists from the Free Gaza movement to go to the port in Ashdod, Israel and stated that the aid would be delivered in Gaza through one of its crossings after a security check. Because of the rocket attacks and since Gaza has been taken over by Hamas, the Islamo-Fascist terrorist group that publicly rejects Israel’s right to exist and that acts as a proxy army for Iran and Syria, Israel decided to control what goes into Gaza to make sure that Hamas and other terrorist groups doesn’t obtain any material that can be used for terror activity against Israel. But Israel has sought to go out of her way to avoid a humanitarian crisis by allowing aid through its crossings into Gaza.
The goal of the Free Gaza movement is to end the “blockade” by setting a precedent in which ships would be allowed to go into Gaza without any security check, which would make it easier for Hamas and other terrorist groups to smuggle weapons by sea. As stated, the group seeks to be a shield for terrorists in Gaza. The Gaza flotillas are also used to transport terrorists into Gaza. In fact, when one looks at the people behind the movement, that person can find that they have a history of shielding terrorists.
Paul Larudee, an ISM trainer, stated that they are not pacifists and that they’re confrontational. Lee Kaplan reported:
The first boat came with no real supplies for the Arabs of Gaza, but bolstered by Israeli inaction they sent more boats. Not content with that, the ISM began sending its members on fishing boats with Arabs to provoke the Navy. Finally, something was done and the Navy boarded one of these boats, arrested the ISM activists on board, and deported them.
Yet, in only a few weeks these same ISM activists were back again in Gaza, having come across on another boat the IDF did not sink. Today, these “activists”, including Darlene Wallach and Vittorio Arrigoni are back in Gaza working as human shields for the Hamas. Their purpose is to travel in ambulances the Hamas use to transport terrorists and weapons that the IDF may neutralize in a war zone and to once again interfere with anti-terrorist operations. Aside from accusing Israel of needless atrocities, they can lie and claim, when IDF forces destroy an ambulance Hamas uses in their war effort, for example, that Israel is committing “crimes against humanity.” Meanwhile, these anarchist-communist wannabe revolutionaries from Europe and the US are endangering the lives of Israeli soldiers and should be considered combatants, the same as any functioning arm of Hamas in this war.
The ISM now consists of professional “activists” who have a stake in the war against Israel continuing indefinitely. Now that abandoning control of Rafah has proven to be a terrible mistake for the IDF, the ISM are already talking about going back there and starting again. At the same time, they have vowed to bring more boats into Gaza to eventually facilitate bringing more terrorists in and out, and once again forcing Israel into a horrible mistake that will only cost more Israeli lives.
These “peace” activists have gone into closed military zones in order to provoke IDF soldiers. In fact, there is a picture of an ISM activist actually warning terrorists about an IDF soldier’s firing position, as seen below [if you can't see the picture, go here to see it]:

The people in the Flotillas are at best brainwashed anti-Israel propagandists while the people behind the flotillas seek to sacrifice American and European lives in a despicable propaganda bid to make Israel look bad and to help the terrorist war against Israel. The Flotillas are a development in the leftist-Islamist alliance against Israel, America and the rest of the free world. I have an article that discusses in detail about the leftist-Islamist alliance when it comes to the Palestinian terror struggle on Israel.
The “attack” on the Gaza flotilla ship has gotten a lot of controversy. It became a new tool by anti-Israel propagandists to brainwash not very informed people into believing that Israel is a heartless brutal occupier just putting innocent Palestinians under siege for the heck of it. However, an article on World Net Daily by Aaron Klein reports that the activists on the Gaza flotilla shouted, “Kaybar Kaybar o’Jews, the army of Muhammad is returning” [that is a call to kill the Jews, since Muhammad enslaved, expelled, robbed and/or killed Jews in Medina and subjugated and killed Jews in Kaybar, in fact my article on that can be seen here] and stated that they sought to either reach Gaza or be martyred. What the IDF sought to do with the flotilla that it “attacked” was to redirect it to Ashdod and to hand out the aid to the people in Gaza after it went through a security check. Like usual, the ship continued going into Gaza. When IDF soldiers sought to intercept the ship, they were attacked by the “peace” activists on the Flotilla, as shown from a video below [if the video isn't able to be viewed below, go here]:
The irony here is that this incident, which got anti-Israel hypocrites, who don’t condemn the real brutal dictatorships that truly are guilty of crimes against humanity, up in arms, even got Turkey to break diplomatic relations with Israel; that is the same Turkey that would put you in jail if you don’t deny the Armenian genocide.
These flotillas are simply another attempt that terrorists and their fronts use in order to shield terrorists. It’s a propaganda campaign that is willing to sacrifice western lives in order to alienate Israel even more in the free world. I refuse to condemn Israel over this incident. The real blame goes to terrorist groups and its front groups like the ISM. This incident shows even more so why Israel needs a security check of the supplies in the Flotillas.
There is evidence of people in the Free Gaza flotilla supporting Hamas. In fact, Press TV, the propaganda organ of Iran’s Islamo-Fascist terror regime, even reported that Hamas Prime Minister [cough cough dictator] Ismail Haniyeh welcomed the flotilla activists.
In fact, Palestinians themselves even complained that the Flotillas brought too little food and “some people left beach in disillusioned after realizing boats were mostly carrying activists”. So basically what this tells me is that the Free Gaza movement starts all these confrontations with the IDF over just an insignificant amount of food [that is if the fight really is to provide aid to the people in Gaza]. I’m willing to bet all of my money that the “aid” on the Free Gaza flotillas is just a small fraction compared to what the IDF delivers through its crossings.
More importantly, where is the Free Gaza movement’s condemnation of Hamas’ human rights violations in Gaza? Since Hamas has taken over Gaza, it sought to turn Gaza into an Islamo-Fascist enclave of Iran and Syria. Hamas has forced women to wear the veil, even on beaches. And thanks to Hamas persecution and attacks [as well as persecution and attacks by other Islamo-Fascist forces], the Christian population has dwindled even more so in Gaza. In fact, I’ve written on Hamas’ human rights violations and how they use innocent people in Gaza for their sick purposes [for at least some of my writings on that, see here, here and here]. Human Rights Watch [HRW], an organization that’s not friendly toward Israel, reported the case of one Gazan who was shot by Hamas because he was overheard criticizing the Hamas regime. And HRW also has another report, where they appeal to Hamas to stop using the death penalty on its opponents. That report acknowledged that the Kangaroo courts Hamas uses on its opponents are unfair. According to that report:
On March 24, 2010, the Hamas interior minister, Fathi Hammad, stated that the Gaza authorities would implement the death penalty in “the near future” against “agents [of Israel] who have been sentenced to death, regardless of the position of rights groups that reject these kinds of sentences.”
If the activists from the Free Gaza movement truly care about the situation in Gaza, why not condemn Hamas’ barbaric human rights violations instead of obstructing Israel’s attempts to defend itself? The Free Gaza movement is not there to help civilians in Gaza or to make the situation in Gaza better. It’s there to shield and aid Hamas and other terror groups. The Flotillas are simply a propaganda stunt that’s used by Islamo-Fascists and its far-left allies to attack Israel. Politically correct leftists and anti-Semites are in the forefront in promoting these flotillas. To the politically correct leftists, the Arab and Muslim world can do no wrong. And anti-Semites just seek to use any opportunity they have to bash Jews. As a result, you see them uniting when it comes to wanting to spew propaganda against Israel.
Israel doesn’t need to apologize for this incident. In fact, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does a good job explaining what the situation was with the “attack” on the Flotillas, as seen from the video below [if the video doesn't appear below, go here]:
Of course, the sanctions on the Hamas regime are a result of its own actions. When Hamas was elected in 2006, Israel, the EU and the US have set preconditions for negotiations with Hamas, for the sanctions to end, and for Hamas to gain recognition. These preconditions are the following:
-Recognize Israel’s right to exist
-End terrorism
-Honor previous agreements
Hamas said no to all three of them. No one from Hamas denounced its charter, which calls for the killing of Jewish people. In fact, Hamas continued to promote hatred of Jewish people and to promote the goal of destroying Israel in its TV, media and schools. And Hamas continued with its terrorist attacks. Israel, the US and the EU were unhappy that Hamas won because of its terrorist history and its well-known stance of being opposed to peace with Israel. Yet instead of seeing the Free Gaza movement pressure Hamas to accept the three preconditions, it acts as a shield for Hamas and other rejectionist terrorist groups, which again is more evidence for my conclusion that the Free Gaza movement is more concerned with bashing Israel and aiding anti-Israel [cough cough anti-Semitic] terrorists than it is about the well-being of civilians in Gaza. If it’s concerned about the well-being of civilians in Gaza, why can’t those activists just follow the IDF instructions in turning their boats to Ashdod and in allowing Israel to simply have a security check of the “aid” in the boats? These are all valid questions to ask. It’s easy to condemn Israel. But it’s hard to be in Israel’s position. Its especially hard being an IDF soldier, who daily has to face complicated moral situations, where any mistake could be deadly.

What I am most shocked about is the UN reaction to Israel’s right to self-defence. Gaza is clearly a war zone. I do not understand this flotilla’s urge to violate the blockade and provoke the IDF. Flotillas have come earlier and have given supplies to the residents of Gaza through Ashdod. Why does this flotilla have to violate it?
Where was the UN when 12,000 rockets rained on Sderot, Ashdod and Beersheva? That was punishment to the people of Israel. Where was the outcry on that?
As the writer of this article has stated, that Israel has no need to apologize for the incident, I firmly agree with him. It is commendable that Israel has regretted any loss of life inspite of acting out of Self-Defence.
No bias here I see.
Maybe another way of tackling the hypocrisy of the activists is to start highlighting the real plight of the Turkish Kurds, and especially the human rights violations against the Turkish Kurds.
As you so rightly point out the Turks do not want to talk about the Armenian genocide, and will put people in jail for mentioning it, yet it is also time that the Armenian genocide was brought to light and that Turkey is roundly condemned for their own human rights violations against the Armenians.
Hamas are indeed the tools of Iran, and it is well known that the Grand Poohbah of Iran is using Hamas as the means to implement their own evil schemes.
Israel and Hamas are in a state of war and in war, all kinds of strategies can be employed for the purpose of defense. Turkey’s so-called diplomatic relation with Israel was questionable. It is obvious that Turkey will, sooner or later, fully allign itself with Iran and Syria. Israel should consider its severance from Turkey as no love lost, and should in fact, strengthen its resolve to do what it must in order to defend itself from a bunch of hooligans. Additionally, any kind of peace overture initiated by the U.S. should be spurned by Israel for the reason that under the circumstance, Hamas or the rest of the Palestinians will never ever consider any kind of so-called reconciliation that would exclude Jerusalem from their agenda..
This is a very informative post. I agree that these so called “Peace Activists” are anything but peaceful. They planned to provoke IDF and then say they were attacked. They are just as evil as the terrorists they align themselves with.
“Hamas won because of its terrorist history and its well-known stance of being opposed to peace with Israel.
Hmm…
“You shall continue to live like dogs, and whoever wishes may leave.”
Israeli General and Statesman Moshe Dayan – Chief of Israel’s General Staff, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Defence, and finally Foreign Minister in the Israeli Government –advising his government associates what to tell the Palestinians
(Washington DC, 20 August 2001)
Joseph Weitz, the Director of the Jewish National Fund (JNF) affiliated to the World Zionist Organisation, wrote in 1940:
“It should be clear for us that there is not room for two peoples in this country. If the Arabs leave it, there will be enough for us… There is nothing else to do but to remove them all; we mustn’t leave a single village, a single tribe… We must explain to Roosevelt and all the heads of friendly states that the land of Israel isn’t too small if all the Arabs leave and if the borders are pushed back a little to the north, as far as the Litani, and to the east, on the Golan Heights.”
One man’s freedom fighter is another man’s terrorist…
My response to Carl is coming soon.
Carl’s quotations above are not true. Enough said.
I am so delighted the other side of the story is finally released. The truth about what actually happened in that incident is finally going viral.
