Slow down, it will not happen over night, give it a chance.
We have had a new President exactly three days, and I have had people as me the question; “what do you think about the President? Do you think he can make things better? Some want to know if he will try to do everything he said he would, doing his campaign. My answer was, did you vote for him? Why? I feel like this, If I believed in him enough to put him in the office, I trust him to do all he can, and the best he can.Let us wait and see. Time will tell us the truth about the President. I believe he will do the best he can. He will not be able to change things in a few week, nor a few months, or in a year’s time. But we must believe that change will come.
We have already seen history written. So let us not worry about setting new records in how fast the President can fix the mess that greeted him in Washington. We don’t know, it may take his whole 4 years to straighten out this mess, but, it’s going to take America as a whole united people to get this declining economy back on an upward march. There are going to be some more homes foreclosed on, some more businesses laying off people that have work on the job for many years. Change will not come over night, but hang in there, because change will come. As a matter of fact, change has already come; we have a black President don’t we. Big changes has been made.
I am reminded of something Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said in his famous speech delivered on August 28, 1963 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. . (paraphrased) He spoke of some day that black children not being judged by the (black) color of their skin, but by their abilities to perform. I saw those words come to pass, on January 20, 2009 in the inauguration of the first black President of the United States Of America, Barack Obama. 0ver 2 million Americans turned out for the history making occasion. (Installing a Black American President).
