We’re already paying hundreds of dollars for gas, car insurance, car maintenance, yet now we have to pay to drive on a particular road? It’s just another political tax-grab if you ask me.

Ever wonder why governments build toll roads? They collect enough taxes from everyone to pay for infrastructure and consequently there should not be any tolls. 

Well, it’s time we set the record straight. Toll roads are for rich people. After all, if you can afford to pay for the tolls, then you should certainly be able to pay for the traffic reports to know what is happening on those roads. Why should there be ‘free’ traffic reports? Since you can afford the exorbitant fees (just look at the 407 electronic toll road (ETR) near Toronto, Canada for example), then you certainly can pay for the reports. 

In fact, if you are on the toll road and your car breaks down, then you can also afford to pay the toll for the service truck sent to help you out (on top of their regular fees).

Make no mistake. Toll roads are ‘cash cows’ designed to vacuum up even more of your hard earned dollars. 

Can we do something about toll roads? Yes! We can make them toll-free! Tell your local municipal, state, provincial and federal representatives that you will no longer use these roads until the tolls are removed. Jam the regular routes with traffic until all politicians get so annoyed with the traffic chaos that they have no other choice.

We, the people, have the power to make changes. Your voice will be heard loud and clear if you decide to take action. One person can change the world.
