This should speak for itself.

I have written this report to clear up suspicions on the Iraq War. As my father is in Iraq now I care very much for him and I pray that he is safe. However, there are lies which some civilians spread pretty quickly. You can curse at me at leave insults but as long as I am alive my philosophies will not change. And before you exit out, I will inform you that these opinions are not just my own but my father’s and others that will be provided later.

I believe that the casualty rate is not as high as most of you think it is. It is high, I will admit, but compared to popular belief it is miniscule. In one person’s essay I read that an estimated 678,000 civilians and servicemen have died well that couldn’t be farther than the truth. From an official government website and other sources, I have that a total of 94,541 deaths have occurred, even including the Iraqi civilians and the combined solder deaths. For me it just pisses me off the way people manipulate graphs and information to make it looks like their information is correct. It also, though most people would disagree, is a fact that terrorism levels and deaths have been decreasing.

Another misleading piece on the Iraq War is what soldiers’ opinion’s on the Iraq War are. My dad, being in Iraq now fully supports the war, as it is helping decrease the level of terrorism in the world. Unfortunately, I will admit that the cost of the war is a bit superfluous and that it could go to helping the poor, but I will not back down from the fact that keeping the war going will benefit the world in the long run. Going back to the opinions, I know for a fact that since I do live on a military base and often ask peoples’ opinions on the Iraq War that almost all soldiers and their families are still for the Iraq war. If you are thinking, “What about the families of the dead soldiers?” Then I have an answer for you. I have in fact talked to a family who has lost a beloved one to this war and they said to win this war to prevent more of this madness from occurring. I also say that we should win, being that pulling out of the war would be foolish, as pulling out would be giving up an opportunity to show terrorists what they’re up against. This pride of showing evil people such as these is what every American should have. I’m Lawrence Hong, pay attention for more essays later.
