Uncommon Thoughts of Common Minds

Securely  based in Cuba, hell on earth has yet another name, Guantanamo Bay. This prison facility, opened in 2002 is famously  run by United States Navy Officials and has horrified masses of people across both continents since its torture regimes became publicly known. Famously called the Detention Camp, this alleged camp of detainees has only harnessed popularity over the years for its brutal schemes, leaving it up to the United States Government authorities to take action against such ill bearing controversies and issues surrounding this sturdy prison barrier of potentially dangerous and extremely notorious terrorists. It is only a question of time, when the United States Government will decide whether to shut down the facility or let it carry on its devastatingly shocking and hair raising techniques which are supposedly meant to trigger information from prisoners.

It is a sad fact that terrorist activity is on the rise around the globe.  Add to this, we have the yet another controversial issue of Global warming and an increase in Natural Disasters. Some sceptics believe that the threat of global warming is not a cause of alarm as a climatic period similar to this was experienced by the earth soon after the Cold Age era. They even agree that Polar Bears in the North Pole survived the dramatic climate change of that era and can almost certainly withstand the current global temperature.

With debatable documentaries on the rise and numerous people uncertain of facts, confusion among masses is on the rise. Many have conflicting thoughts and are vary of the media, suggesting all that we see and hear on radio, television and even via Internet is a plot to deviate them from the actual reality.  

We are currently in a transitional phase where a war rages between arguable fact and fiction. Scientists are trying to recreate the Universe using the Great Hadron Collide leaving religious skeptics fuming with anger. While these scientists debate that this is for the good of mankind, religious fanatics claim that such acts are indeed, forgivable sins in the eyes of the omnipotent.

Where we go from here is up to us to decide. Should we stick to the facts and digest all that we see and hear from far reaching satellites or should we endeavour to seek the truth. With much to think about, I take leave from my audience and on a lighter note cannot hesitate to mention that while this big, bad world that we live in has some major political agendas to deal with such as halting the operations of nuclear reactors in certain countries, other not so serious issues bring a smile to ones face as the latest CNN news reads, ‘The latest criminal offence is a pets death linked to none other than a Miami based serial cat killer .’
