The problems I see and what I have to say about it.

I want to talk about a comment that Sarah Parlin made ” we’re not a perfect nation but we learn from our mistakes.” What mistakes has our goverment actually learned from? Was it borrowing money to build a bridge that was never built but kept the money any, was it shutting down social programs for the people who need aid,was it taking money away from public schools, was it letting the people in New Orleans suffer for as long as they did before help actually came, is it taking your sweet time rebuilding New Orleans, is it sending a ton of money overseas to save some other country and sit back and watch our own fall apart, was it letting Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae hand out all those ridiculous mortgage loans, how about letting the cost of heating get so high that some people can’t even afford to heat their own home’s?

It seems to me like our own government has made so many mistakes that hearing someone in office say “we learn from our mistakes” is a joke, you haven’t learned anything, the people in office keep making the same mistakes over and over again thats how our country got into this crisis to begin with. Instead of just owning up to it and saying we are extremely sorry for what we have done to our fellow citizens they would rather play lets pass the blame, when in reality every person sitting in office or owns a big corporation is responsible for the American crisis.

Yet the American people will still have to pay to fix it. You know the ones that are already struggling to make ends meet; who cares if you have to get three jobs just to pay your bills and feed your families. What I want to know is how come the big oil companies can’t give back some of the profits thay made off the blue collar workers, how come Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae can’t put their money back into the country? Why should the rich be able to own 3-7 houses when our own people are living on the streets because of you!! Why can’t every person in office put some of their own money back into the country? Why make us suffer anymore then we have to, why should some be able to live fancy free, while others are looking at a winter with no heat, days with no food, having to sell their own belongings to pay the heat and electric, giving up their cars because they can’t afford gas. No, not one person who is above middle class will have to mqke a sacrifice and for the ones who are to blame will get away with it consequence free. That’s fair and that’s learning from our mistakes? It seems to me that the little people in America have been forgotten or just don’t matter; we’re the ones who will suffer and sacrifice the most in the years to come. And the people in office are playing with our lives and future just like they always have done.

Are other problems in other countries more important than the ones that are going on right here? Trying to make other countries a democracy is just wrong. What works for us isn’t always rightfor other cultures. So what gives us the right to tell them how to run their countries? I’m sorry to say my faith in our goverment has ceased to exist. The people in office seem to have only two qualities greed and power. So long as they never have to make any sacrifice they will not change this country for the better. As long as they never have to pay for their wrong doing, the little people in America will continue to suffer. That’s the way I see things.
