The effects of the falling dollar.

  1. The cartoon is drawn from neutral perspective
  2. In this cartoon the artist is trying to highlight the daily falling price of dollar. In this cartoon, the artist shows a girl who asks her father for her pocket money. However, when his father gives her the money in “dollars”, the girl asks her dad to give her pocket money in “Euros” instead. Here, the artist is trying to show that the girl feels that eventually the dollar price will fall so down that her pocket money will be useless. Thus, the girl instead demands her pocket money be given in Euros instead, which is currently a more consistent and stronger currency compared to dollars.
  3. I totally agree with what the artist is trying to emphasize hear. Since past several months, the price of dollar is constantly falling. Whereas, other currencies such as Pounds and Yen are at their peak since last six to eight months. I think that if the dollar continues to fall, then the citizens of U.S. will face many economic problems such as: inflation, more expensive imports, and possible even higher taxes.
