A voice for the traditional women.
Sarah Palin burst on the political scene during the 2008 Presidential election. The moment she took stage the countries reaction was split. You either hated her or you loved her. It is easy to see why the progressive left hated her; she stood for everything they have fought against for years. But why did so many tradition women love her?
Sarah Palin in the course of one night during the Presidential campaign became a spokes person for traditional women whose voices had been silenced by the far left feminist of this country. These were not women who are far right these are the women who believe in the definition of feminist yet do not support the far left feminist movement.
The Definitions of Feminist is: Belief of the political, social and economic equality of women. The far left feminists do not believe in the political or social equality of women, they believe in the equality of their movement and their ideas. Sarah Palin challenged their ideas.
The country was suddenly introduced to a strong independent woman who had beliefs and ideals outside the feminist movement. She stood for family values, hard work ethic, a belief in God and the right for every child to live a full life. And as scary as it may have been to the progressive feminists of this county the tradition women loved what she stood for.
Sarah Palin has opened the door for those women who are not ashamed of being women and who celebrate their feminine side. They are the women who do not cry discrimination every time something does not go their way and who work hard to better themselves, their families and their communities. They believe a child should be raised by caring parents and not by a village; it is their responsibility to care for and support their families. They are not ashamed that they were created softer than their male counterparts. They love the men in their lives and support them in their pursuits. They are women who are full time mothers, they are women who work from home and they are women who sit on boards of directors.
They are women who believe in the Definition of Feminism: Belief of political, social and economic equality of women. Yet they do not support the radical ideals of the modern day feminist movement. Sarah Palin took the step on to the political stage, yes the progressive left went crazy, suddenly they were faced with a strong independent woman who loves her country, her children, her husband and her God. But most of all she was a woman who was proud to be a woman and stood against the political ideas of the far left feminist movement.
She was the first but she will not be the last. She sparked the desire in thousand of traditional women whose voices had been silenced for years by the progressive feminist movement in this country.
