Regarding the recent Russian-Georgian war.

An extreme tension between Russia and Georgia lately, ended with Russia invading Georgia. This caused a new war in history, the second south Ossetia war, also called the perfect wrong war, since it had no necessary reason to have started. Several years ago, South Ossetia and Abkhazia became independent from Georgia. And now in August 8 2008, Georgia decided to conquer South Ossetia. Now after the independence, South Ossetia’s citizens as well as the population of Abkhazia were given Russian passports, military aids, and any additional help needed. So when Russia heard that Georgia had attacked South Ossetia and Abkhazia, then went to defend the two countries. Russia’s reason of going to what is called the “battle field” was to make peace between all three countries. All of what was said above was Russia’s perspective; Georgia’s point of view on the other hand is totally different. Georgia claims that it was Russia who started the war. They say that Russia had attacked Georgia without them doing anything. Most people believe that Georgia’s perspective and point of view is not true and that Russia is the country that is telling the truth.

This was not the first south Ossetia war, for this was the second war to happen between the same countries. The first war happened in 1991-1992 when the Soviet Union broke apart. When they broke apart, many countries became independent and had their own government. At that time, Georgia included south Ossetia and Abkhazia. This caused a war in the year 1991-1992 which led to the independence of all three countries. And now, in (August 8 2008), Georgia decided to have south Ossetia and Abkhazia back, so they attacked the two countries/provinces. This tells us that the first south Ossetia war caused the second one to happen. Due to the different perspectives and point of views, although this war was serious and very violent, it was still considered the perfect wrong war, meaning that it had no necessary reason to happen.

I will conclude my essay by saying that this war, as many people call it, is the second cold war or the third world war due to its violence and bloodshed.
