Clinton and Crowley pressure Israel into appeasing Palestine’s Hamas terrorists.
Recently, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu allowed for the building of settlements in Jewish East Jerusalem, which is Israeli land. Yet he received strong criticism from US democrats, Hilary Clinton and State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley, for his decision.
In his Washington Post article, “Clinton rebukes Israel over East Jerusalem plans, cites damage to bilateral ties”, Glenn Kessler wrote that Clinton criticized Netanyahu, “… about the state of the US-Israeli relationship, demanding that Israel take immediate steps to show it is interested in renewing efforts to achieve a Middle East peace agreement.”
This, however, sounds like Hilary implying Netanyahu should rescind his decision about building settlements in East Jerusalem to appease Palestine’s terrorist regime. But Hilary and other politicians have no right to be telling Israel what to do with it’s own land. Some people would say that building Israeli settlements will antagonize the Palestinians and damage the peace talks between Israel and Palestine. Yet, people who say that overlook the historical evidence that proves no genuine peace agreement can exist between Palestine’s terrorist regime and Israel.
Since the Oslo Peace Accords in the early ‘90s through 2001, 2006, and 2008, the PLO, Hizballah and Hamas terrorists have used “peace talks” to re-strengthen their forces and make plans for the next terrorist attack against Israelis. Next, these terrorists have violated past treaty agreements while gaining one-sided concessions from Israel. Then a short time later, the terrorists attack Israel yet again.
Now, Hamas terrorists are running Palestine’s government and will use the same time-honored tactic they have used before. That is further supported by Hamas “official” Mahmoud Zahar’s public announcement that Hamas will never recognize Israel as a legitimate state. (As reported by http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=91787§ionid=351020202). Therefore, peace will not work.
So the smart policy for Israel is to never compromise ownership or cultivation of their land to Palestinian angst. That is further justified by the fact Israelis won Jerusalem through the 1967 War.
Because Israelies won Jerusalem in combat and the right of self-defense was on their side, Jerusalem rightfully belongs to Israel—not the Palestinians. Further, the Palestinians who started the war can not claim a right to land they lost to the self-defending victors. Keeping acquired land is the right of self-defending victors if it prevents their enemies from attacking in closer proximity to them.
Israelis must honor the hard struggle their soldiers experienced to win Jerusalem (and other territories) by continuing to own their land and cultivate it as they please. Therefore, when Netanyahu permitted the building of settlements, he did what all Israelis have a right to do.
In addition, Israeli cultivation of Jerusalem does not, in and of itself, jeopardize US-Israeli relations because it does not contradict Americans’ property rights. Consequently, Americans have no objective reason for assuming Israel broke diplomatic ties. Therefore, Hilary’s declaration of “damaged relations” is irrational and arbitrary. That further demonstrates her and Crowley’s unilateral guilt in endangering US-Israeli relations.
So why do Hilary, Crowley and Obama, want to damage Israeli-US relations? Because the Obama administration favors the Palestinians more (a subjective bias, not objective peace-keeping). Consequently, the Obama administration wants to pressure Israel into benefitting Palestine’s terrorist regime.
This will only alienate a strong ally in our war against terrorists. As a result, we will stand with fewer allies against the terrorists that want to mass-murder Americans. Hilary’s and Crowley’s hysterics reveal the Obama administration’s attempt to make Israel the “outcast” and make Palestine’s Hamas regime look “innocent”.
Hilary’s and Crowley’s unethical outbursts against Netanyahu are merely pushy manipulation tactics to bring Israelis to a one-sided “peace settlement”. Only the terrorists who run Palestine will benefit from it.
