With North Korea launching their missile last month. They are now vowing that if anyone puts pressure on them they will declare war. DPRK also said that they are ready to produce nuclear weapons and use them on anyone who pose a threat against them.

The United States called the launch a “provocative act” that violated a 2006 Security Council resolution prohibiting Pyongyang from conducting ballistic missile launches.

North Korea said that the launch was so they could put a communications satellite into orbit. The Unites States said this missile did not make it to orbit.

In 2006 a Security Counsel forbid North Korea from launching any type of ballistic missiles. They broke this by their launch on April 7 ,2009.

South Koreas President made a statement being sure everyone knows that Seoul is only 31 miles from the Military Demarcation Line. This line was established in 1953 and to this day both North and South Korea are technically still at war.

Till date the battle is still on in this zone. On January 13, 2009 North Korea stated they would maintain their nuclear arms until the United States reverses it’s hostile policy. This is not going to happen any time soon I don’t believe.

In November of last year North Korea closed their borders to China. North Korea stationed guards along their borders every 50 yards. People are frustrated with all of their negative actions being played out.

With the recent election and President Obama in office now the North Koreans have voiced that they hope this new President will treat them better than ones from the past. Former President Bush had stated that North Korea was an, “Axis of Evil”, and right up there with the likes of Iran and Iraq. Obama before he was President elect stated that he would like to see an international coalition to handle North Korea. Now that he is President we will see what happens.

It was stated that South Korea and the United States who are their alliance are advised to stop acting rashly and that a nuclear war developing in this region is just a matter of time.
